A Squat Milestone

I finally squatted 5x5 @ 315lbs! This has been a goal of mine for a while and seeing the three plates on each side made me feel accomplished. I hope to continue to reach new heights with my squat and apply the same motivation to my other lifts. WOOT!!! :D

Nice! Great job!  I hit 2 plates on squat last week or so and it felt amazing.  Whenever you add a plate to the bar it feels great.

 

Keep it up...4 plates is next

Thanks, mattyboy. Nice work there, yourself. Adding more weight is always nice, but there's definitely something more invigorating about adding a plate.

I've been thinking about the weight lighting milestones and I think they usually involve hitting 3 digits first, then 1 plate, 1 plate + 25s, 2 plates, et cetera.

 

I just mentioned in another thread how awesome adding a plate is, but how deflating the next squat session was when I started back over with just 2.5lbs on each side

Yeah, 25s and 35s make the bar look more imposing too. I'm sure that the 2.5s book-ending the three plates will look goofy tomorrow.
