aramis
Nov. 30th Running: 5.25km, 28min22sec - 5min22sec pace Woohoo! Only 22sec slower than my PB! And I learned I need warmer gloves to run in temps in freezing range - when I left home it was 2C (36F), when I came back it was 0C (32F). My hands were so cold I lost touch in fingertips... Food: 2628 kcal, 162 g protein. I used last week to correct my nutrition - I added more carbs instead of some fats (keeping calories on more or less stable level). I think it might be the issue - not enough "easy energy" from glycogen stores/carbs resulting in earlier fatigue and poor performance. We'll see if I'm right. BTW, I signed up for a Runmageddon OCR in April. It's all paid and all, so there is no way back. I'll run it or die trying Quote I absolutely CAN run on caffeine and hatred. aramis
Dec. 12th Workout (burpees): 15min timer, 90 reps. Stretching - Sun Salutations. Food: OK. I noticed lately I loose my mind a bit (or bit too much) over weight and calorie/macro counting. I have enough stress in my life from other stuff, so I decided I just pre-calculate all my meals for a week and just stick to this plan. Mortimer
Sorry Aramis for not sticking my nose in around very much, been busier then Usual with married life (I can't batch cook, need to cook for hubbie) as well as helping with house hold chores (this time at at time of my own choosing). I'll admit I'm those anal fks who can eat the same thing every day (and do, to the chagrin of my in laws), but again I wouldn't be very happy running in 2 degree Celsius weather so... We all have our own quirks and particularities. 1 Quote Link to comment

aramis
Dec. 14th Running - NOPE. I need to reschedule my run - I will do it either on Sunday (if I'll have a time for it) or even at Tuesday. I was on my first aider re-certification course from 8am till 5pm, so not much possibility for a 5K Sunday is unsure as well - it all depends how long the exam will take. But I did some exercising anyway - the place was so cols I needed to warm myself up, so I did some squats and push-ups. Like, 50 and 20 reps, two or three times. I got some weird looks, but I decided it's better option than trying to warm up by sitting motionless and trying to wrap myself in a jacket. Food - mostly OK. I ate some cookies from snack table, but on the other hand I didn't eat as much at home. Quote I absolutely CAN run on caffeine and hatred. But only with a dash of milk. Mortimer
It is a good way to warm up though the faster way is burpees =P I found I was rather out of practice for my burpees business when I was doing it this morning. Was huffing and puffing at the end of it lol. If you can, and the handicapped toilet isn't in use, go there to do your exercises, you get less stares that way. That's my world for you ^^ 1 Quote Link to comment
aramis
Dec. 15th Run: 5.25km, 29min 20sec (5min36sec pace) Exam was over like 2:30pm, so I managed to run my 5K offroad before it got dark. Little slower than last one, but out of the blue my stomach started to hurt mid run. It wasn't a stich - it felt like heartburn mixed with extreme hunger. Which is strange, because I got lunch at usual time (between 11 and noon), so I shouldn't be that hungry at 3pm yet... Anyway, I needed to take two walking breaks because of this distraction. Oh, and the temps went up. It was like 8-9 deg Celsius. I might got a bit too hot as well, because I was wearing the same outfit I used while running at 0-2 C range. Sad thing those temps will last till mid January, so no white Christmas for me - rather muddy ones. Hmm... OCR Christmas? Quote I absolutely CAN run on caffeine and hatred. Mortimer
Urgh I hates mud.(remember the shoe incident? =P) I guess it's good practice for OCR though. When you started walking did it become less painful? Could it be an indigestion issue? I did ever end up with a bad stomach ache out of the blue before. Quote Link to comment
