Avalonna Posted January 6, 2013 Report Share Posted January 6, 2013 I've been doing girly or kneeling push-ups for several months, and haven't made an effort lately to change to regular ones because I suck at push-ups, I tend towards injury in my wrists and shoulder, and my sets of 15 or so kneeling push-ups seemed challenging enough. Until now! I read a blog post a couple of days ago that claimed women were holding themselves back by sticking to kneeling push-ups, and that it was better to do even one real push-up than 10 kneeling ones. What the hell, I thought, I'll give it a shot. And damn if I didn't crank out a set of 5, a set of 4, and a set of 6! Hot damn! Goodbye, girly push-ups! It's fun to be one of the few females in the class doing them on the toes instead of the knees That is interesting about the mat. That way my wrists are not at such an angle.
