Starstuff
Last time I ran a 5k for time, which was several months ago, I clocked in at just under 42 minutes. (Yes, I am sloooooooow.) I decided then that I really wanted to run a 5k in under 40 minutes, but I'd already decided to train for a half marathon in December, so I put my 5k goal on the back burner while I trained for the half. This week, my half training plan bumped up the 2-mile tempo run I'd been doing to a 3-mile tempo run. So, yesterday I went out and did my usual quarter-mile warm-up jog and followed it with three miles at a comfortably hard pace. When I looked at my timer at the end of my run, it read 39:36. I ran 3.25 miles in under my goal 5k time during a training run, and the first quarter-mile of that was super-slow warm-up. I guess I need to sign up for a 5k after my half so I can set myself a new 5k goal! 1 Quote only what you take with you Challenges: Starstuff Wars Episode I, II, III, IV, V, VI NF character ~ Fitbit ~ Strava ~ Smashrun ~ MyFitnessPal Food Log Link to comment
