Super Destroyer Posted March 6, 2014 Report Share Posted March 6, 2014 This morning, I played in my first student/faculty basketball game in over 12 years. It wasn't the fact that we beat a bunch of 6th graders 27-14, or the fact that I scored in front of my skeptical students, or the several assists and rebounds I got, or even diving on the floor for loose balls three times. It was the fact that I played all but 2:45 of the 20 minutes we played, ran full court, and did not suffer a heart attack. This time last year I was 314 lbs. and there was NO way I could have any of the above. That, and I turn 50 in about 4 weeks, and am old enough to be my students granddad, and old enough to be the father of some of my faculty teammates. So WOOT! 1 Quote "It is cutting time......" insanity Posted March 7, 2014 Report Share Posted March 7, 2014 That's awesome... we got a boss here that showed up to play a pickup basketball game, typical office worker manager, starting to go gray type, and white as can be, playing against a bunch of younger co-workers.
