RebelDalek
Hi people, I am a big (125kg...) Doctor Who fan, along with all the classics most of the 30 something grew up with. I was never interested in sports, (why losing reading time ?) and that was just fine before I realized how much I loved beer and whisky, and eating. As soon as I was out of my parents house, I behaved like the kid in Big and ate all things, since I had the money and the freedom to do so. I am quite tall (1m93, sorry for the imperial system, it confuses me !), and was able to disguise my growing fatness between a natural shoulder broadness...Anyway, it's been ten years of really bad habits, and it's now time to fix it when I am still young (and alive) enough ! I have started cycling two years ago, with initial good results, but being an emotional rationalizer, I could not stick to my diet. SO...new me will keep cycling and add kettlebel training (like it because no brainer : it's the one ring for me) and a paleo-vegan diet (don't laugh, I'll make it work ). I am glad to be part of the team ! 1 Quote Link to comment
petefeet
Great having you here RebelDalek! I'm also a huge Doctor Who fan, Tom Baker was "my" Doctor. I'm also a big reader, which turned into a part-time used bookstore in my basement (sci-fi & fantasy). Nor do I come from a big sporting family, so I've also found it hard to find an exercise that's engaging. Start thinking what your goals might be, and the next Rebel 1 challenge starts in June. You can follow the link in my signature to see what I mean. Good having you on the team! RebelDalek
Thanks petefeet, I have a hundred thousands goals, but so far I start small, I bought a pair of expensive jeans ten years ago, and wore them once before I outgrew them, so first step, get into those ! My best friend is getting married in August, and I want to be able to put my academy dress uniform, not the fat guy adjusted one I am currently using. Additionally the pre wedding hangout will include swimming pool sessions and I really want to not look like a Slitheen lives inside me ! Thanks for supporting ! 1 Quote Link to comment
