starsapart Posted January 19, 2015 Report Share Posted January 19, 2015 People tell me "you're getting so skinny" all the time lately, and I just thank them and move on, because I don't want to be rude, but I also have no desire to be "skinny." That brings up images in my mind of knobby knees, protruding ribs, and frail arms. That's not me. Well, today, a fellow gym regular approached me and said, "Maaya, you are getting really strong!" Cue me grinning ear to ear. Yes, yes I am!!!!!! I may only have 4 reps on my 170lb deadlift before I max out, but damn if that comment didn't make me feel like Superwoman. I used to have trouble lifting a pair of 10 pound dumbbells. Now I'm one of the few women holding her own in the weight room.
