Future Assassin here (with some Scout tendencies)

Recommended Posts

A year ago I decided I was going to be healthier and in better shape in my 30's than I was in my 20's. Well I entered my 30's on April 30th of this year. I was at my highest weight ever (227.4lbs). I was in the US Army for six years and that helped me to maintain my weight. I generally fluctuated between 184 and 194. During my last year in the army I stopped exercising as much and ate even crappier. When I got out of the army in 2013 I just started getting bigger. I topped out at 225 in May of 2014. I decided I wanted to lose weight so I counted calories and started working out (mostly running with some body weight exercises). I got back down to 197. I was feeling good but then I went on a one week family vacation and derailed myself. It was as if my mind completely reset itself and suddenly I was back to the old me with the same old bad habits. So now I have gained all the weight back (+2.4 lbs).

I want to be a good example for my children. I am tired of getting worn out from playing with them for just a few minutes. I want my son to view me as a warrior and my daughter to view me as her hero. How can I be a warrior or a hero if I get out of breath after a few minutes of activity?

Finally, I want an awesome body for my wife to enjoy. She is a great mother and wife. She deserves the best in life so I want to give her the best of me. To help me with my goals I have joined the NerdFitness Academy and I am going to be joining in on the 6-week challenges.

Hopefully I will see you out there.

Happy questing!
