    • I slept so early and so long yesterday. Was asleep by 8 and then just slept like a rock until “normal” waking up time, but I still don’t feel very energetic yet.  Might need to be a full-on rest day again.   Feels like  the extroversion is catching up to me, and I need some Inside-Alone days.
    • Halfway through the last challenge, I stopped my spreadsheet logging. Neglectfully the first couple of days, but then I couldn't be arsed to update the backlog, and I dropped the logging altogether. And I didn't derail!   So I will continue that trend for this challenge. Not logging, but remaining sensible. Still paying attention to my fasting windows, calorie intake, step count, sleep curfew and exercising. Just not putting colours in a spreadsheet. See where it gets me in 5 weeks...     I *will* update on the weekly weigh-ins, and my weekly distance on the Road to Mordor, though. Those are separate from the spreadsheet. And I'll still be discussing what I did, for accountability.     No log??? Did someone cut the tree???   Monty Python - The Lumberjack Song
    • Overly descriptive only works in certain specific situations.   Bret Easton Ellis' "American Psycho" comes to mind. Entire pages dedicated to Bateman's hygiene routine, entire pages dedicated to his wardrobe, etc. While it makes the point that this is one vain and detached main character, it made the book hard to read. And then you get to the murdery parts and they're just as detailed, which makes them all the more horrific and disturbing... 😮 That's when it clicked.   Spoiler - NSFW warning:
    • Week 0, Thursday Forest Encounters - N/A   Exploration - N/A   Clearing the Safe House - Bedroom Floor. 12 to hit misses the giant wolf spider. The spider dodged out of the way of her next swing.   Fletching/Songs/Short Rest - Blackberries (yard waste bin got emptied, so I have lots of room for more), dex check of 19 is a success on the arrow attempt (Feathers 46). Practiced songs. Candles and teeth, so that's a short rest. The fletching on the next arrow was definitely crooked and odds were that it couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, but the one after that looked passable.   Tracker   As a side note, what sort of nerd forum is this that its spell check doesn't recognize "fletching?"
    • Even posting them internally is incredibly expensive. As my mother discovered when my brother moved up country    Dried Blueberries and dried cherries. Also awesome in baking. Could see them with dried cherries or maybe apricot chunks.  Good recepie here if anyone wants a go
    • Low stakes sounds like a great plan. Here for glimmer collecting and awesome pictures of deep ocean organisms 🪼🪼🪼
    • The masking taped together instruments are amazing 😆. 100% best use of that stuff ive seen. Hilarious,
    • I had to look up what an open backed banjo even looked like. I have definitely never played with one before (they are weird looking, i would remember).  judging by a hobgoblin they are probubly 5 strings. The ones with the longer neck. This kind of thing we play in small pub rooms (sitting room sized or smaller spaces, as many pubs still retain their original internal walls here) and the volume is no more of an issue than having an accordian or concetina (of which we often have several) in the circle.  people usually use finger picks, but i have seen flat picks used too.  I've never played with a tenor banjo, but I've seen them a couple of times on bluegrass vids.
