I made some pretty killer tacos for dinner tonight: chorizo, sweet potatoes, black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese on steamed white-corn tortillas. The boys were effusive with their praise. October is here and funds are available so I'm getting ready to buy and build my home gym. Turns out the room is a foot narrower than I thought, which doesn't save me any money on flooring, but I'm looking at a different rack which will take up less space at around one-third the price of the one I was previously considering. I'd like to be clanking weights here by the end of the month. -

1st October, 2024 Dear Inspector Nightingale, Oh dear oh dear. It must be dire. You're being sarcastic at me. I shall get out my "walking bravely to the guillotine" outfit. Sincerely, Sara Kingdom Trainee at Large, Society of the Wise -

Scientia potestas est Society of the Wise • Est. 1775 The Folly Russell Square London, WC1B 7ZF 1st October, 2024 Dear Sara, I would accept your being signed off work by Dr Walid, though I think it unlikely on the back of two vaccinations and a small burn. Was it perhaps a haunted vaccination? A burn caused by demonic possession? Is there perhaps a dangling limb involved? Thank you again for your encouragement and motivation. 🥰 I returned today to color her in. It's not perfect, but I also didn't ruin it, and in another perspective (like if it were someone else's), I'd even say it looked amazing. Another win for today: I took the stairs down and up. 😃 Tomorrow my training is going to be a step toward independence where my fellow trainee and I will do work of our own close enough to the others to ask for help and confirm what we've done seems good. -

1st October, 2024 Dear Inspector Nightingale, Oh dear. Is there really, truly no way I can get out of it? Bribery? Hospitalization? Sincerely, Sara Kingdom Trainee at Large, Society of the Wise -

Grewynn is a very practical elf. She enjoys seeing the order in things, and bringing order to things. However, with that strength their comes the weakness of not really enjoying her creative, artistic side. If she isn't confident that she can create something amazing with art, she doesn't do it, which means she usually doesn't attempt it. Looking at the parcels though shows her that she is going to have to use her creativity to solve this problem. She thinks about her friend at home, Tsintah, who worked so diligently ,through trial and error to make her granddaughter's skirt, and she decides that she too, can learn new things. I bought a paint by number kit a year ago, and stuffed it away with all my other neglected craft projects. I realized I was over thinking it. Worrying about whether I could do it right, I bought it for a fun, creative thing to do. No law says I have to hang it in our living room.Or even finish it, if paint by number isn't my thing.😀 So I started it tonight. And I enjoyed it. Tsintah is based on my real life friend who made a skirt for her granddaughter. SHe really struggled with it, and went to a friend to help, but she got it done. I want to be more like that. -

Gorgeous fall day today. Did my exercises and went on a walk with my friend. The workout actually calls for a suspension trainer, which I don't have. I am just using my rings. But I struggled with the ring push ups. Probably because I struggle with normal push ups😀 Also I took out my paint by number that I bought last year. I've been giving all the excuses why I haven't started it. But the Wet Marches Adventure challenge was to take 20 seconds of courage and do something you've been putting off. I realized that the main reason I haven't done it was because it looked too hard. And who knows it may be. Maybe I will find it frustrating, and not fun, and not do it. But maybe I will enjoy it. No commitments to finish, just to play with it ,and see if I enjoy it. -

It does just two exercises, but those exercises can be evil.😉
