Geek On Fire is back from the wilderness and keeping it simple

I was looking for an appropriate response, but I found this instead: Good on you for being strong for the Mrs though. -
I just told her it wasn't meant for her. Whether she believed me on the other hand I have no idea. I'm pleased to say I've never sent a dick pic . Besides, a good story can be much more interesting.

Willy! C'mere man! Very sensible. I don't think I've ever made that mistake, but I did once send a message intended for my girlfriend to my ex girlfriend. That was a little awkward...

Ah, so that explains last week... You're doing really well man - moving house is always stressful I'm afraid but looks like you're coping with it. I hope you and the family get to settle into your new place soon. -
I'm inclined to agree. Of course if it we're the other way round that could be hilarious, or get me into a lot of trouble.

Thanks guys, it was lovely. Rivalling Tank though; it's an honour but I'm not sure I can claim that one (yet ). ===== Sorry I've been quiet all; been in Bristol for the past couple of days for work, and it's been fairly mental there. Will have to work out what happened goal wise (if anything) and update on here later!

You've totally got this - we've all seen how amazing you are looking after your family and yourself. You're going to smash it.
-
Congratulations on signing up for the TM! If you're already smashing out 8 mile routes now you're gonna have no problem getting through it by May I'm sure.
-
Nearly through the Whole30 then, well done! It sounds tough but I'm glad you look and feel better for it

Of course you can. As long as you're providing the beer and snacks. Thanks! I just felt I needed to take stock of where I was so far to finish this challenge strong. Thank you man! It's a pleasure to warrior all over your face. ===== Last night's food porn: Honey and mustard marinated pork with lentils, carrot, celery and red onion: And tonight's food porn: ===== And I went bouldering today. They've re-set the grey climbs which are about the reliable limit of my current ability. So I thrashed through the whole damn lot! Feeling it now, but so much fun.

Just saw this and thought I'd make a suggestion; have you tried starting with hand release push-ups first (i.e. push up explosively so your hands leave the floor but keep them under your shoulders)? This way you can get used to the motion first without a risk of face-planting. To be honest though I think you'll find your sense of self preservation is pretty strong, so if you can get your hands even an inch off the ground you'll find time to clap. ===== Also, after missing about a week and a half I'm finally back, and push up plank done with EC.

Ooo I want a fry up now... I did manage a fried egg and bacon sarnie earlier at least. It's just training though, I've been doing Parkrun about 6 months and I'm usually hungover on a Saturday, so now I can do it!

Thank you for cheering me on! ...or three. Seriously though, food is ok and normal lifting service should be resumed next week, so though a rest week isn't the best thing in the world it'll be ok. Thanks guys. ===== Stats at W3D5 Eat - i. 4/4 - ii. 3/4 - iii. 5/7 Sleep - i. 4/7 - ii. 5/7 Lift - 0/3 Like it - 4/7 Daily Dare Score - 24 The Captain - 21/30 Thursday was fairly unremarkable, except for the fact that I signed up for Warrior Run again in April, and Tough Mudder Ireland in July! At Tough Mudder I'll be meeting @DarK_RaideR and @Miw_Sher (and any other rebels who would like to join us hint hint) so I'm seriously excited about that one! Yesterday had a short day at work due to getting my teeth cleaned by the hygenist in the morning, and us finishing early on Fridays anyway. Then had snooker and many many beers . Turned into a late night with me getting in around 2:30 am, but I did at least go straight to bed when I did get back! Today I went to Parkrun this morning. They had pacers running today so I decided to target a new PR following the 25 minute runner. If you think that sounds ambitious following a skinful of lager and 5 hours sleep you'd be dead right - at one point the 28 minute runner overtook me . Finished in 27:19. Much domestic rangering warrioring and a good bit of relaxing/reading/rugby watching to be done for the rest of today. ===== Challenge Overview - The Story So Far... Just wanted to write this whilst I'm at a computer, even though 5/7 of the way through week 3 is a bit of an odd time. Going Well - I have not bought any snacks or other nonsense since the start of this challenge, and I've not even really thought about doing so most days. I've just about got through the leftover Christmas snacks as well, so that's cool. No caffeine after 4 has been perfect so far too, though it's felt a little harder. Packing breakfasts and lunches is on target on average (1 point over on both week one and week 2, but 1 point down this week). Going OK - Positivity statements are being written most days (17/22 so far). It's hard to tell if it's helping but I'm quite certain it's not hurting so I want to keep with it. Bedtime is more or less on track, and with one exception all departures have been on weekend nights at least. Going Badly - Lifting! Of all the things to not be going well on my Warrior challenge how ironic that it should be lifting! Some of it has been out of my control but much of it hasn't. I need to am damn well going to crack down on this and get week 4 perfect, but in doing so I will still only hit half my goal for this challenge. On the plus side I'm learning a lot here and thinking a lot about my programming going forward for the year, it's just that I'm not actually getting in the gym! Other bits - Daily dare has been missed a lot, but I've just realised that if I hit perfect every day I can still make my goal! I've all but given up on The Captain's push up challenge, push ups every damn day do not fit in well with a lifting schedule! Sorry Captain, at least I'm making you look good.

Ye Under Construction Ranger Guilde Hall: General Chatter
Jarric replied to Tanktimus the Encourager's topic in Rangers
I've dabbled with Zombie, Run! a bit. IIRC you set the time or distance you want the run to be, and then the app spaces out the clips so that the episode lasts that long. So it's not a running plan as such (though there are a couple of running plans featured on the app you can use); the distances only change when you change them. Supply runs you just run as far as you want, and every so many meters you get granted an item for Abel Township.
