So, It has been a year.

Recommended Posts

So a little under a year ago, I joined Nerd Fitness.  Man if I only I had discovered this sooner, and I was not sure about joining first off...and I found a motivation meme *still my desktop background* that said "In a year, you will wish you had started today" and guess what, I am GLAD I started when I did.  Without further ado, 100lbs in 1 year.

And, the look hasnt really changed much since the last picture, so I thought I would give (what I feel) is a much better final picture for the one year mark.

Was it easy?  Well...yes and no.  I held blind faith in the programs I started with from Nerd Fitness *At Steves request in the guides*   Once I saw what happened after only 3 months, I was hooked.  It was still every bit as challenging to do, but knowing that it worked was a helluva incentive to keep going.

I lifted hard, did interval training, mixed in some yoga, but most importantly, I ate right.  It was 100% paleo bar none for the first 3 months, after that I did fall off the wagon a few times (pretty hard when I found out I would not be able to up for the military, which was my original motivation for losing weight) but I got back on the wagon, and here I am.  Happy, healthy, stronger than ever,  and it is in thanks at a VERY large part to this community.

I haven't made a goal, I have made a lifestyle change.

I am not where I want to be, but I am closer than I was yesterday.

It was hard to make changes at first, I will never go back.

The only person that was standing in my way was me.

Now that I have gotten out of my way, nothing can stop me!

It's pretty hard to not get giddy when your scale says 217 and not 317 :D
