Br0din
I weigh myself every single day. I like to see how what I eat and other things affect my weight. It has made me somewhat immune to freaking out over seeing an increase. This is me too. I ate 1/2 a pizza last night and gained a 1lb. Go figure. Ahyar Dreamspark
I like to weigh myself before and after any convention where I will be cosplaying. I usually lose 5 pounds over a weekend due to lack of sleep, food, and water ;P It all comes back the Monday after, but damn, the lower number on the scale makes me feel good! Quote Link to comment
Dleffe
The heavy ruck sounds miserable... good for your body, packing the weight back on afterwards!Just how tall are you? Width shouldn't be a problem... I'm 178cm, 92kg. I bulk pretty easily, but at this point my body seems to say "this is perfect we'll stay like this". 1 Quote Link to comment

Trewest
My husband keeps trying to get me to ditch the scale but I tend to revert back to it.i used to measure and go off of that more but for some reason I stopped. .. Maybe I should stay that up again. ... Zorch
Never EVER use a scale to measure your weight, unless you are absolutely sure it is properly calibrated You just want to use it to measure the variances Find a scale you like, one that is convenient, and stick with it. Use it often, to measure the fluctuations [Hey! I lost 3lbs, since ...], but never use it to say "I weigh XXXlbs" Of course, if you're using a fitness tracker, like Fibit, and it's bugging you to put a weight in, use what that scale says [again, you're measuring changes], but don't take it as Gospel I agree, and I'd add a few other qualifiers:Don't worry about day-to-day fluctuations; these are driven largely by water weight, which is a function of fluid intake, salt intake, glycogen load, and one's time of the month(if female)Use averages - i.e. take a rolling average of 5 to 7 days to minimize day to day fluctuations. Don't sweat short-term variation - look for the longer-term trendpay more attention to trends(and rate of gain/loss) than absolute numbers - i.e. if trying to lose fat pick a target loss rate; if trying to add muscle pick a target gain rate. Adjust caloric intake to hit these.Pick a time of day each day to weigh, and stay consistent(I do first thing in the morning, before breakfast) - this minimizes this impact of meals, hydration, etc. on weight But yeah - the most useful thing a scale can tell you is whether your caloric intake is at the right level, based off trends over time. The actual number on the scale isn't terribly useful as an absolute measure. Quote "Restlessness is discontent - and discontent is the first necessity of progress. insanity
I never use the scale number as a thing, I couldn't care less what I weight... it's more funny to me how the body changes with outside factors. Like losing weight when changing clothes, gaining weight after using the restroom.... stuff like that. 1 Quote "Insanity - you make my world a better place man, you really do! Trewest
I get what you guys mean by not measuring my total gravitational pull based off of the scale. I use the one at work (it's the old school shift weights along a bar until it balances type) and trust it more than the step on it one at home. My workout tracker does ask for weigh ins so I'll use it for that but I am going to start measurements and try to locate my old caliper to try and do a body fat assessment. I know for a fact my work uniform is starting to fit more comfortably. At least in the belly area. Starting to get uncomfortably tight in the biceps. I get stuck in the sleeves on a regular basis now so I have this weird unbutton/pull over method to get out. Silo
I am definitely at the point where tape measurements show me my progress way more than the scale does. I do them on the first of every month but I also grab the tape in between those days, whenever I feel like it. I did my measurements over the weekend and found that I have lost an inch off my waist since the beginning of the year. That was with a 2 pound drop in weight. The last inch I took off my waist took a 10 pound drop in weight so I was over the moon about that. 3 Quote 2016 goals: Hit goal weight. Companion
Eh from experience and what I heard from others women will have a decent to high libido the first 3-6 months of a relationship. Then it just tapers of to once, maybe twice a week if you're lucky. Ive tried just about anything to fix that issue aside from spiking my GF's food. I always called bullshit when a friend told me I'd watch more porn once I had a steady relationship, guess who had the last laugh there -.-18 years together and I'm always dtf. Him, not so much. Any time we try to apply what's going on in our own relationship on a global scale, it is likely to backfire. Fortunately, the only thing any of us probably needs to worry about IS our own relationship. 4 Quote Battle Log Challenges: 1, 2 Link to comment
