Sam Ashen
Yesterday, I declared a goal of hitting a 2-plate bench press, (225 pounds / 102kg) 3-plate squat (315 pounds / 143kg) and 4-plate deadlift. (405 pounds / 184kg) I saw those as glass ceilings that need to be shattered. Today I set out to see where I was at compared to those goals. Squat 295 pounds - 20 pounds or about 9kg short. Bench Press 225 pounds - crushed it and did another one with the plates on to show it was dead. Years ago - for such a long time, the idea of two plates on each side gave me a psychological / confidence issue. It was no issue tonight. Dead Lift 405 pounds - slowly but surely it went up. I held it for a few seconds basking in the glory. So DING! New PR's! A bit of practice with the single rep squats and I do not think 3 plates is that far away. WOOT! *dance* 1 Quote Classless Human Male Warrior - Introduction Height: 1.77m Weight: 93 kg Spoiler Current Maxes: (repsxkg) Squat: 10x122.3, 5x138.2, 3x147; 1x170 Bench Press: 10x79, 5x93, 1x102 Deadlift: 10x152, 5x192, 3x210, 1x229 Overhead Press: 10x52, 5x61, 1x70.3 Current Battle Log: 1707 Sam Ashen Summer Swole Program 2017 Challenges: 1701 1702 1703 1704 1705 Previous Challenges: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1603 1604 1605 1606 1607 1609 1610 1611 1612 Daily Log:The Daily Grind Form Check: Stronglifts Olympic More FC's: Pistol Squats Want to play? Sam Ashen
Well that was a very short quest Hmm? I have 20 pounds to go on the squats. It might be coordination. It might be psychological. It might be physical. If it is a coordination issue, then it might not take that long. If it is physical, then I have to make the gains. Psychological? I don't know. 295 pounds? No problem. 300 pounds? Not happening.
