    • Well, nothing is going quite to plan, but it is going slightly better than before.   Annoyingly, I was not able to find my tape measure, so measurements did not happen.  I also didn't make it to the grocery store on Saturday, so I didn't start the new diet on Sunday like planned.  And, I ended up working from home today, so no sneaky exercise yet.   On the up side, I found my knee pads, so I can go to derby this week.  I got groceries on Sunday so started the new diet today, and I took pictures just in case the tape measure proves harder to find than expected.  Especially since I know I have seen it since the move.   We got another offer on the house, but it is really low.  It's all cash, though, so that's tempting, because it would mean we could close before the end of the month and not have to keep throwing money at the house.  But, it's really low.  Our realtor wanted to discuss this morning, which is part of why I worked from home today.  The other part was because I finally hit the point where I couldn't bottle everything up anymore last night and ended up crying a lot.  But also staying up late.   We talked to our realtor this morning, and have provided a counter offer.  I seriously doubt the prospective buyer will come up as much as we'd like, but maybe to something we can live with.  I am mildly hopeful about things today, which is nice.

    • I swear, it's like you are in my journal!! This is, in fact, exactly what i need. Thanks, as ever.
    • Well, I made it to Jedi Council unch, and it was wonderful. I'm glad I went. Work has been surprisingly quiet and suprisingly productive today.   I had an insight about one of the things I've learned this challenge: Whatever steps I get before work, and certainly before noon, are the lion's share of what I'll get for the whole day. Knowing this helps me plan for success ad set my goals in a realistic way for next round. I think I'd like to see if I can get 5,000 steps in during my morning commute. This might mean a longer outdoor walk before the gym, and might mean more trips around the track once I'm inside, or possibly both. Maybe it means a long way back, as well as there. I'm not sure about the execution details, but this feels like the right kind of approach.   Also, I've not gone to Zazen in the last couple weeks, and I'll need to leave this on my radar to get more information. It's possible that it's just too much outside. It's also possible that there was just a ton of appointments crammed into this challenge, and I needed to find nesting time whenever I could. I'll be thinking about what it means to have "success" with Zazen as part of a group, and what my appointments scheduling looks like. It's possible that I'm overbooking myself and not prioritizing my evening rest, treating it as incidental when I might need to see it as Evening Rest, an already existing appointment. Reframing it might be the solution; we'll see.   Happy Week 5, Friends!
    • Such a busy day.   So much driving.   A big meeting in one city. Then drove to another for therapy.   Home, cup of tea, leftovers for dinner, and The Sopranos.   X
    • How do I do it? I'm new here, thanks!   Ooh it's now showing up to change it!
    • Oooh, I have a 3 day weekend (4 technically, but Monday does not count because that is Next Challenge time) so should easily be able to fit in walk and/or run.  Wasn't really on my radar, but it does seem like a good idea. And the DMs do it again! Magic, I tell you.
