    • I had to look up what an open backed banjo even looked like. I have definitely never played with one before (they are weird looking, i would remember).  judging by a hobgoblin they are probubly 5 strings. The ones with the longer neck. This kind of thing we play in small pub rooms (sitting room sized or smaller spaces, as many pubs still retain their original internal walls here) and the volume is no more of an issue than having an accordian or concetina (of which we often have several) in the circle.  people usually use finger picks, but i have seen flat picks used too. I have I've never played with a tenor banjo, but I've seen them a couple of times on bluegrass vids. 
    • I love the concept of the glimmers (and the catch and release nature of them lol) and I'm here for low stakes challenges. Also, way to go on the deadlifts! I'm so glad you are enjoying them, which I already said about your strength training about a second ago but it is true.
    • Backlog part 3:   20 split lunges - 🐝 30 seconds O-pose hold - 🐝 8 up & down planks - 🐝  (this is actually one of my wrist exercises) 30 seconds half jacks - 🐝 5 jump knee tucks - 🐝   Just 4 more, and I'm current again. 😅

    • barf. okay clearly dropped the ball on this one. anxiety has been going absolutely fucking bonkers for no apparent reason. I mean sure there's more than enough happening in the world to be anxious about but idk. it's just really strong rn. I'm wondering if it's the anxiety resurgence I was worried would happen when I stopped the birth control. it's been a couple months but my body still seems to be adjusting to the change so idk. maybe. either way. I got so fucking anxious and stressed out over nothing and then it spilled over into tracking food being triggery and attempting anything on my to do list left me paralyzed and reading was hard because my brain was going two hundred miles an hour and... yeah. challenge failed. again.    I was going to put up a new thread but it's almost 2:30am and I don't want to deal with words anymore. I got my flu shot 12 hours ago and I feel like shit. can't go to bed yet though bc boobcat is sleeping at the end of it and I don't want to break the law and move him while he's comfy.
