I sang and played the piano for one hour today and when I left, I realized that I hadn't had enough yet! I guess I need to go back tomorrow. It was very sad and difficult, but there was a moment when we were all standing together in the sunshine in a line with our arms around one another and I realised that the whole family was there. He seems like an amazing kid though (not surprising really) and his attitude towards it is really impressive. He mentioned that no, he doesn't. Fortunately, we were at a red light right next to an Aldi. Stop in and grab a case of water. For two bucks, I felt like it was worth it. The kids get going with their stretches and I sit down with my book. They are doing a lot of running on this practice and after 20 minutes, the coach calls for a water break. One of the kids mentioned she didn't have a water bottle today. A few others mentioned it as well. I get up and run to Toddsly and grab the case. I bring it back and offer it up to any of the kids who want it. The coach thanked me for it and they move on with the practice. On the way home, JJ mentions to me that it was nice that I shared the water with his teammates. I said it was a small thing that I could do. He told me "the small things can be a big deal". I was smiling for the rest of the night thinking he is getting it. That's the longest uninterrupted stretch I've had in too long to remember. If I go to bed that early I tend to wake around 2 and be up for an hour or so. Those origami flowers are beautiful.
