CM Punk, the pro wrassler, has landed a UFC contract and a fight sometime this summer. This is a blatant and shameless publicity grab on behalf of the UFC, given that BY FAR the BIGGEST UFC pay per view events by a huge margin were the ones were Brock Lesnar (pro wrassler) was fighting. CM Punk is an athlete, but he is in absolutely no way, shape or form a fighter, and certainly not one who gets to skip the entire amateur and professional league ascension and go right to a UFC main card. SO, since it's basically a joke, we have been trying to blow up the internet to get CM Punk's opponent to be Jason Ellis... radio show host, and undefeated 4-0 MMA fighter and boxer, who has been trying to get into a UFC event for a couple years now (and who famously knocked out a UFC fighter, while sparring, WHILE THEY WERE WEARING HEAD GEAR, and twice beat an Ultimate FIghter finalist). We ended up tweeting Dana White 13,000 times today, and got some big name celebrities (and real UFC fighters) to retweet it and support it.
