spockgrrl
Hey Rebels, I have fallen into a pattern of ordering takeout, not preparing ahead of time, and not working out. I'm ready to make a change. I just wanted to make a declaration somewhere, and if anyone here has tips for starting from zero, please share. Raincloak
1. Prepare meals ahead of time or get better at coming up with them on the fly.2. Stop ordering takeout.3. Work out. (Helps if you either find something motivating, or just give up on motivation and realize you still need to work out even when you don't feel like it.) what's your typical workout routine now, and what is the pattern when you end up ordering takeout food? Charlie_Quinn
Hi Spockgrrl. One of the most important things is planning. Make a meal plan for the week and write a grocery list of the foods you will need to make the meals. Having the food in the house makes it a lot less tempting to just say f**k it and order a pizza. A lot of people batch cook meals at the weekend for the following week, which is a good idea if time is limited. Personally, I don't do this for evening meals but I batch cook chicken and rice for lunches. I then just have to prep some veggies in the morning and it all gets warmed up in the microwave at work and covered in hot sauce for flavor! You might find it helpful to start out slowly by changing things a little at a time so it's not too overwhelming. Good luck! Good luck!^ this sounds perfect.I would say not to try to plan every single detail at first. Starting slow and building up seems like the best way to make things stick. Quote Link to comment
