Artemis
I admit it, I'm in love with the past. Museums, books, outdoor adventures, whatever as long as it involves History. Anyone else out there who shares a similar addiction? Also, has anyone listened to the soundtrack for the new Hamilton Musical? It's amazing. 1 Quote "Fairy tales are more than true not because they tell us dragons exist, but because they tell us dragons can be beaten" -Neil Gaiman Mandalorian Assassin: Level 5 Current Challenge - Artemis becomes Mandalorian Overall Weight Loss Journey: Starting Weight - Current Weight - Goal -160lbs Link to comment

I have a particular fondness for Spain's medieval and Renaissance periods, though I can geek out just as much over American religious utopian communities. Estrix
Seeing this topic has coincided with my discovery of Podcasts and I had to post about a really awesome history one I found: Dan Carlins Hardcore History (I'd post a link but I can't paste into this box for some reason). They're really good, well the one I've listened to so far. Very detailed, and long enough to cover pretty much everything, King of Kings is 3:30hrs. Style is engaging and he does manage to hold your attention. I couldn't imagine sitting through 4 hours of Persian history, but I suddenly realised I've only got 1hr left and I'm downloading another one! Anyway, thought people here might appreciate them. 6 Quote The valiant never taste of death but once. Winwaloeus
It's a very intriguing reference, i'll look into it, thank you, i'm always looking for that kind of podcasts in fact, i'm very interested in the middle east history right now, especially during the first centuries of christianism. I've been watching this awesome french TV series called "Jesus and Islam", which were broadcasted this week in the french/german network arte, that looks into the Coran in reference to the context and history of early christianism in the area, and the controversies on the nature of God, They had done a similar work with the Gospels a few years ago : specialists filmed full-front, one after another, no special effects, no actors playing the events, just the evocative power of the texts and the fascinating debates brought up, around a single word, its translations, its history, etc... For those of you who speaks french (there must be a german version too), i highly recommend it 1 Quote Winwaloeus, level 3 ranger STATS : STR 7 | STA 9 | DEX 2 | CON 9 | WIS 9 | CHA 5My introduction is Here - My Battle Log is There - 6wc I - 6wc II - 4wc III - 4wc IIII (ongoing)Main goal : lose excess fat down to 14% (currently, i look roughly like a : 20 to 25 -according to many sites offering pictures for comparison)current 4wc progress : Goal 1 : walk !!!
