Interval rowing

5 rounds of 750m

2' rest between rounds

Aim for a 28 strokes/min pace

 

Pace was slow, so I focused on keeping it there and pulling strong during the strokes. First set was a little off, but the other 4 were pretty close in time and all of them at a 28s/m pace

Kettlebell class

Skill: One arm KB snatches, transitions from hand to hand (mid air switches)

WOD 1: 6 rounds of 30" Alternating One Arm KB Snatches with 30" of rest between sets

Score: 48 reps using a 20kg KB

WOD 2: 30 Alternating Overhead KB Squats (practically, alternating snatch+OH squats) for time

Score: 2'55" using a 16kg KB

I initially read this as /the/ box rather than /a/ box, and I was wondering how the hell that counted as scaled!

Fran on steroids

Thrusters (95lb)

Pullups

 

I only went for 64lb due to knee pain and even then, my thrusters barely made it as low as parallel. Coupled with my declining pullup skill and a day I wasn't feeling it, I made it to the 18' time cap with just 10 pullups left. Still, better than a workout missed.

Double Unders for the remainder of the round

Score is total DUs done

 

Score: 76 DUs. Barely got to the rope during round 5, so I took round 6 off to recover. Also, didn't manage to make it to the rope during the last round

You're one of the few people on NF who'd classify interval sprints as strength instead of cardio just because it involves running :D

1 minute of wall-ball shots, 20/18-lb. ball
1 minute of rowing (calories)

Got to play with the sleigh after the first day of Compete Live Athens was done, we did a modified version of the Intermediate WOD

50m Forward sleigh drag using straps

11 Burpees

(Suddenly added by coach) 10 Pullups

50m Backward sleigh pull using straps

7 Burpees

(Suddenly added by coach) 10 Squats

Score: 2' 04"
