  2. Well this week I have high hopes for the mental points and cutting back on the TV/Netflix watching. Starting on Thursday I'm going on a (hiking) trip with my wife and my parents in law. Although the weather forecast doesn't look good, so maybe there won't be that much hiking. Nonetheless I guess there will be way more reading, board games and Yoga on those rainy days. Wow, you really are strong to turn off Netflix to get things done. Good work And thanks guys, I got a good feeling about this week.
  3. And now you made me google Kanon, Guanyin and Avalokite... the other guy (or the same guy)
  4. Hi Tateman, great to see that you are determined to do your thing. And I think trying out Keto for a few months to see if it works for you won't kill you (most likely). For me it would be too restrictive, since you have to go all or nothing to stay in a state of Ketosis. So kudos to you for doing it. Other than that every once in a while we all feel a little fatigued, mentally or physically. A little rest can then be necessary and shouldn't be seen as weakness or a bad thing. I'm glad to hear that the next day went much better then. You walked, you bowled, you decided what and when to eat. The hurdle didn't smack you, you smacked the hurdle, baam!

Mental Points: - 381, a new negative record Ticked off items: 3 items Physically I do what I committed to do. Mentally I'm way, way, way too far in the negative zone. To a big part thanks to binge watching "Happy!" on Netflix on Saturday. While during the day I managed well to get a lot of work done in and around the house, after dinner I just couldn't get away from the TV anymore. I should reduce a bit more on the mobile gaming as well. But having said that things are more under control then they where before this challenge. Still, I need to put my focus here it seems. Regarding my todo list I managed to tick of incoming new tasks as fast as possible to be able to get back to the listed ones. Currently I am working on a big one that takes a lot of time to finish, but I am happy with my progress.
  6. Thanks, LightMotif To avoid giving you a heart attack I changed from 'reading while commuting' to 'reading on the bus'. Thanks, Tateman. Yes, while my friends from Stockholm visited me I wasn't able to do any big physical workouts, but I could make up for it since we did a lot of sightseeing on foot. Then I met with other friends and played Beach Volleyball on Tuesday. Another + for my body points AND I socialized. But I forgot to stretch afterwards which I normally do after workouts. So a lot of muscles in my leg feel tight and stiff and make me want to NOT move. But I know that's actually the best way to get rid of the stiffness. So my next workout will probably be a leg workout to really heat up the muscles and get them moving and afterwards there will be thorough stretching!
  7. 8. week 1 summary: Monday Body Points: +2 Mental Points: +30 ticked off items: #6 and #13 Tuesday Body Points: +13 Mental Points: -45 ticked off items: #14 Wednesday Body Points: +12 Mental Points: -27 ticked off items: --- Thursday Body Points: +1 Mental Points: +5 ticked off items: --- Friday Body Points: +5 Mental Points: -15 ticked off items: --- Saturday Body Points: +6 Mental Points: -34 ticked off items: --- Sunday Body Points: +5 Mental Points: -26 ticked off items: #2 Overall: Body Points: +44 Mental Points: -112 ticked off items: 4 items - Body Balance: I reached and exceeded my goal for the body points. So yay me! - Mental Balance: Did well in the beginning of the week and could balance gaming and i-net surfing with some reading, meditating and online courses. Have to keep surfing in check though. For the last days we got friends from Stockholm over, so spending time reading was much harder while sneaking in some mobile gaming for 2-3 minutes was much easier. Therefore I don't give myself a hard time here. Additionally I did a good job on tracking the gaming and surfing. - Life balance: managed 4 items which is not really good, but since I did work on other important tasks that had to be done and where not on the list, I'm also ok with my small achievements. Looking forward to week 2!
  9. I gave your post a like, since after reading your posts that nowadays seem to always start with "So yesterday was a day of a number of downs." or "So yesterday was a mess" I misread your "I was baking bread" as "I was breaking bad". Then I realized my mistake and had to laugh. Since you continued and ended your post with 'Agent Black of the White Hand who works for Isengard' I continued laughing and thought: 'Life can't be too bad even after a day like that when you still can have fun'. P.S. Body slamming a fridge is very impressive and it shows your training is progressing to a new level. Next thing on the list: Back suplexing a car
  10. Well, it just can get better today. Just start the day being awesome And please tell me that it worked!

  12. You're right of course, but I had already certain books and courses in mind, but didn't want exclude other books or courses. Here is what I had planned: books: Fear -The friend of exceptional people, by Geoff Thompsson , interesting read on fear as natural response of our body and how we can handle and live with it. Immensee, by Theodor Storm , one of the books I found on my book shelf that I should have read in school (but never did ). So far I'm not too moved by the story... Das Gold von Caxamalca, by Jakob Wassermann , another one from the good old high school times. Actually I might have read that, because it seems familiar. The story is a fictionalized account of the Spanish Conquistador Pizarro's kidnapping, ransom, and murder of the Inca king Atahuallpa. Interesting for people who want to learn German according one of the reviewers on Amazon. courses: Android Training on Udemy QiGong course on Udemy IT Security and Ethical Hacking course on Udemy Thanks, I think so too. Haha, yes, I know that you know about huge lists and how it feels to tick things off And you're right as well. I don't have a problem with using all the space I need, but I'm worried, that I won't find all my entries, when I want to sum up my week. So I will create 1 post that I use and edit for the balance quest and it will be right...
