    • This was my background soundtrack this morning and it was lovely.
    • Following and cheering!   I've added a reward element to my challenge for the first time, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.  "Don't die of shame when my landlord comes in to take care of my cats while I'm gone" is also a nice motivation.
    • Haha, after that buildup I learned we were NOT going for tacos, but to the burger place up the street instead. I feel like one of the dead people in Sixth Sense, “they only hear what they want to hear”. Burger was good though!! And actually fit my macros better than tacos (because you know I would have had to have those delicious tortilla chips and likely a margarita).   Lovely sunny weekend so far here, and sweet to have kid 2 home amongst us. It’s 21C but we’re calling it chilly enough to put on a fire ❤️ Earlier today I had a cool workshop on vocal health plus how to belt & do other vocal effects w/o damaging your voice. Good to know, good to know!   Tomorrow morning Mr TG and I are doing our fun long bike ride!!! After that, I will have to hunker down and prep lecture for Monday. But first, a long ride along a rail trail and the weather promises to be spectacular. Fall colours, here we come!
    • Ernie is going to spend the night, so we'll have both of them here   This is very accurate to how they are together.   With this in mind, I'm going to sign off until tomorrow evening.  But FIRST!   I did look at myself in the mirror and made funny faces. I decided to wear contacts today and that helped me see me beyond the glasses and the middle-aged face. It's like "Oh there I am. I'm just a little older now."    I took three deep breaths several times today. This was helpful.    I DID THE STRENGTH TRAINING! I focused on core exercises today. I set a timer. It was horrible. Next time I'll set a timer but also play some fun music!   I looked up while walking today. The leaves are beautiful and all different colors. That leads me to what went well today; Mom and I went out to a state park and walked around looking at the leaves. It was so lovely. We knew Ernie was coming at some point today, but we decided to put ourselves first, knowing Dad and Bert would be home. It was great! And then it turns out that Ernie still isn't here yet and it's almost 5pm, so I'm extra glad we didnt wait around for them and had such a good time.  Bert made lunch for Dad so it worked out okay.    I'll let you know about the evening routines and screen time tomorrow night! I hear the car pulling in, Ernie has arrived
    • Why did I say that?! Spent the whole drive home STARVING and thinking of all the places I could stop and get FOOD.   I think I should bring snacks to painting. Class runs right over my normal lunch window. Threw a couple frozen burritos on the microwave, but now the Grivecks have me pinned down and I lack the courage to displace them.     Painting was good. Did a trail run with paint markers. Turns out I can write beautifully, but spelling remains beyond me. After marking corrections, added words and part of window frame to rainy painting. Then added red grapes and pomegranate to still life. I am ridiculously happy with the pomegranate kernels, less happy with the fruit itself. Think I made it too upright, feels unsupported. But look at those spilled kernels!
    • I added the pomegranate just for you. Original plan was strawberries.  Some final touches remain to be added. Today was just the pomegranate and red grapes.
    • Level 6! Following to see you put this Wight back in its grave!
    • I love this. Sometimes your brain wants to override a gut feeling when that feeling is what's really good for you. If this was Star Trek, I'd say Spock and Kirk are learning to work together     I'm rooting for your success!
    • Amazing. We are friends for other reasons too, but recommendations like this don’t hurt.
