My coworkers are all women (frustrating on a healthy day) and they give me shit all day because I have no energy. They say that men are big babies when they are sick. The video that I saw shows the electrode on the lower abdomen. They were screaming as if they were being exorcised, and my thought went: Nope, nope, nope, you win. Bye. I do think women should be able to make fun of men. Sometimes it's not funny, but it's okay. I mean, society make fun of women's stereotypes all the time. Another unfunny one was when I was traveling with my coworker, and many people from hotel staffs to airport personnels thought we were married couple. (The fact that she is my age and race helped-- her boyfriend would not be so happy, though.) Her air ticket did not print because it was booked under my account. We did not know this, so she tried and failed a couple times-- then I printed it out for her. And the reception lady looked at me rather funnily, saying 'yay, female empowerment.' My coworker didn't catch it. Hulk In Nerds Clothing Posted December 4, 2014 Report Share Posted December 4, 2014 Besides the point that is, I accept that, very painful to give birth to a child, I don't think that experiment has any kind of semblance to the real thing. Even the act of contracting a muscle via electrodes from the outside is far more uncomfortable/painful than just contracting that muscle (be it conscious or not). Not to speak of the fact that most women nowadays prefer to have their children delivered via c-section. And yes, if I'm just somewhat sick, I act like a kid who needs care. If I'm really sick you will find my dead body behind the sofa after not hearing from me in two days. Link to comment
