    • Welp, the Meet& Greet was a bust.  Not only is it a 45 minutes drive when the owner said it was 30, the place is dilapidated and neglected, the dogs have no manners whatsoever (wearing a skirt was the worst choice), and they tried to get me to book outside the company (of course because it would be better for me). NOPE NOPE NOPE.   BUT. It was not a waste of time at all. I went home and did a load of laundry before I left town, and took a shower after I put everything in the dryer. I picked up my laptop for tomorrow, and basically just got outside the house. This is good. This is the Way.   I’m tired from the excursion, but centered. I have tea and my iPad is fully charged. Might Netflix; might nap. All is well.
    • That is rough , sorry. Praying that the doctors will help deal with the pain and for the treatment options. Praying for peace and comfort for all of your family
    • Eat sleep and breathe are great goals! Very necessary. I also have trouble with summer light. Currently experimenting with eye masks to find a comfortable one. That is a splendid rooster! Love the feathers and that deep blue.
    • I hope your tooth procedure and recovery are going well!
    • I'm not sure if I should wish you more rain or not 😊
    • Mr Harriet and I went to the opera yesterday evening and had a nice time. He's been very sweet the last couple of days but I haven't forgotten what he said, and never will.   I did some brainstorming on what my future proof plan might involve. Apparently the dual citizenship law is not through yet--maybe in July. But what matters is that it can take months to get an appointment to do the naturalisation test where you need such arcane knowledge as: is Elsass-lothringen a German state? Is torture an appropriate punishment for a jaywalking? How many wives can I have at once? I also need to understand my finances better, but also just develop some emotional independence.    I had another hypoxia training today--this time with lower oxygen concentrations. I felt extremely tired and sleepy for the rest of the day and didn't really manage much else off my bujo list. Might be able to go to the gym tomorrow for prayerful lifting. Haven't fit any in the last few days. Haven't done any painting, either, unfortunately, but my "study" included listening to the German audiobook. Opera and hypoxia training count as adventures. So I'm doing okay, considering.
    • Thank you Jackdaw, that's very kind.
    • W3D5 - D7:  MFG's pain was bad enough that we went to the ER instead of her scheduled MRI, and they admitted her for a few days to get her pain management dialed in while also completing the major scans.  It's been equal parts relieving and frustrating trying to get everything dealt with accordingly, and when I wasn't in the hospital with her I was on the road traveling to and fro.  Too much crap food, too little exercise, and just a general halt to fitnessing concerns.  We finally got home Saturday afternoon.   Week 3 Check-in:  tough week that got a lot tougher at the end, but I did some good work while I could.  Sunday I woke up late and had to dash out the door, so I didn't weigh in until this morning which was inflated by all of the last few days.  Even so it's only 213.4 lbs which is looking better on me than that same number did at the end of January.  I'll take it.  I got to wear my 34 jeans a bit this week, which is a big win.   Two weeks to go and every fiber of my being is laser-focused on getting MFG to and through her surgery next week.  This week I'm going to grind while taking care of her at home and see if I can crack that 210 barrier before the challenge ends.   W4D1:  decompression day, I let everything go and just counted it all up at the end.  I needed that, but I don't need another one.
    • 05/26:  213.4 (+2.3)   Pretty sure that's inflated by the last several days being way off my routine.  Today I'm going to do a bunch of house and yard work while eating back on plan, so tomorrow morning I'll check it again and see if that does anything remarkable with the scale.  At this point with just two weeks left all I want to do is hit 210, and I think I can do it.   Still feeling incrementally leaner and stronger.  This is the same number I put up at the end of January, but I definitely look much better and I'm wearing my smaller clothes more regularly now.  My program seems to be working with the trend line even when the week-to-week numbers are see-sawing radically.  I'm not at all unhappy with my results so far.
