Stay on Target This is mostly going to be a riposte re-post of a thread I created super late last challenge. One - Sorry for ghosting! Had to go focus on myself and all that stuff. Work still sucks, but it's getting better. Or at least I'm working on getting it better (communication ftw). But hey, I'm back and ready to do things! Two - I signed myself up for a half marathon (November 3rd). These goals are probably more at home in the scouts forum, but honestly just like the rangerly aesthetic so yeah. Anyways, the goals...

After succeeding in a respawn challenge, Skywalker is determined to make this reboot last. It won't be easy, as one more intensive course week and several due dates for writing assignments are awaiting. So, the challenge will be realistic and simple. Keep successfully doing what works, and keep working on that which wasn't successfully done in the previous challenge. AND I'm adding a study-related one, just in case. Subquest 1: start the day with devotions (Scripture study, meditation and prayer) -> 1 WIS + 1 CHA Subquest 2: do at least >7000 steps/day -> 1 STA

As planned and promised, here is my month-long challenge for the month of April. Featuring my favorite Star Wars alien species: If those creepy looking aliens with breathing devices look somehow familiar but you can't quite recall, go back to when Palpatine pulls the trigger on the execution of Order 66... That'd be Plo Koon, shot down by his own Clone Troopers flying behind him So why Kel Dor? Why Star Wars? Well, in case you've missed it, NerdFitness' resident Jedi Master @EricMN has booked his flight tickets and will be visiting Sparta th

Welcome back for another episode of The Exciting Adventures of JediNickD! It was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away that I joined this site and started my first challenge.. World 1 was my first extended stay through 22 challenges. I took a hiatus from NF and came back with a new direction for my goals where I warped to World 2, which I defeated in a Boss Fight slaying some mighty big goals. In World 3, I continue to develop my fitness, getting my body in the best shape of my life, even with the Degenerative Disc Disease, Arthritis, Disc Fissures, and more. Through physical thera

It's good to be back in the Rebellion! I got some pretty ok results in the first three challenges (#1, #2, #3), then unexpectedly moved to UK for postgraduate studies (take-it-or-leave-it scholarship thing) and coped with the adaptation, work, study and family balance during the autumn term, running and lifting only very occasionally, while ditching my daily walks altogether. In Nov, I failed a respawn challenge. In sum, I let Darth Paunch punch me too much (fueled by the Galactic Writing Assignments Empire). All in all, I threw that lightsaber behind way too many times. It comes to an end

So, time to finish this challenge trilogy that started on Feb 5 - to go out of my comfort zone into the unknown and run the Wings for Life World Run as fast as I can. It wasn't easy for Luke to turn himself in to two most powerful Sith in the Death Star II in a desperate effort to restore freedom to the galaxy in that final battle. And it was quite a duel, both physically and even more psychologically, just like every good race. So, the main quest again stays the same (though I am rising the minimum to 12 km instead of 10 km) and it will hopefully and finally be fulfilled duri

Mentally, spiritually - whatever you want to call it - I'm all about balance. I've lived with mild depression for as long as I can remember, and through accepting the dark; welcoming discomfort into my emotions, I can see the light even brighter. You can't have one without the other. I'd now like to take the cerebral into the physical. Since the beginning of this year I've been on a quest to reduce my body fat, and been generally pretty successful on the beginner's phase of Strong Curves. That's now over, and although I've lost only 3kg / 6.5lbs, I've also got my waist down from 31.5" to 28.5"

Hi all, I’m a library director, a high school French teacher, a dad of two toddler-aged kids (son & daughter), and a lucky husband of a wife who is a huge support for getting fit – actually, I started because she took Mi Band 2’s stats seriously and began daily workouts. I followed because – competitiveness. And we figured we can’t afford becoming Jabbas in our 30s. I’m a huge Star Wars fan; also love Tolkien’s legendarium, Star Trek and Stargate. Used to play games; figured it took way too much of my time while not leaving meaningful trace. That’s why I now prefer writing SW fanfic. Huge

Hi Nerd Fitness tribe! I'm so glad something like this exists. I despise those fitness courses by conventional 90s-looking guys with shiny muscles and artificial smiles. That always looked superficial and repulsed me from the whole fitness culture. Thankfully, this is so much different. NF can actually reach nerds and geeks who detest physical activity and the dullness of its advocates. This is an achievement in itself. I will spread the word about NF to all the SF/Fantasy geeks I know. As for me, I'm still a padawan when it comes to working out. I have a bit more experience with running, b

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... Episode VI RETURN OF THE JEDI After many months away, Starstuff has returned to the planet of Challengeooine in an attempt to free herself from the clutches of the vile gangster Melancholia the Butt. Little does Starstuff know that the GALACTIC EMPIRE has secretly begun construction on a new motivation-sapping space station even more powerful than the first dreaded Bleh Star. When completed, this weapon will spell certain doom for the small band of Rebels struggling to restore

!!SPOILERS!! Star Wars Discussion Thread !!SPOILERS!!
Cheetah posted a topic in Rebel Army Base Camp
The new movie is out. Some of us have seen it; some of us have not. This thread is a place for the Haves to talk about the movie without having to encase everything in the spoiler function. If you haven't seen the movie yet, CLEAR OFF! You've been warned! -
Charlie_Quinn Stays on Target After a few dud challenges, I've noticed one big issue that is causing me the most trouble. Lack of consistency. I tend to float through my goals with no real focus and plan and then things start to fall apart near the end. So the main goal this challenge is to build a routine and stick to it for the entire challenge. The Star Wars theme is pretty obvious! I have tickets to go see The Last Jedi at 3am on December 14th. I've never been to the flicks at 3 in the morning before, so that's going to be interesting. Especially as I couldn't get

Fellow Druids! So, I have been mulling the idea for a thread about Reiki for a while and think it's time to share. What is Reiki? “It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.” - Obi-Wan Kenobi I was asked by my mentor how to describe Reiki energy if I were speaking to someone on the street. Knowing that unless I were vacationing on Tatooine, The Force is the perfect reference. A more literal translation of Reiki is "Universal Life Force" after all. But, in the study of Reiki
