Raincloak
I like to cuss people out with things that sound obscene but actually aren't. Like "go defenestrate yourself." Or very boring words that imply obscenity only if you think about it ("go and do improbable things with your anatomy"). Or mondegreens, like "fuzz you." Fuzz you all and the horse you rode in on. Less useful but fun to collect are exotic curses, such as "May your loins be infested with the fleas of a thousand camels," or "May the gods grant your every wish." Plus, for colorful insults there's always Shakespeare. You bawling, blasphemous, incharitable dog what I just like language, okay? 4 Quote Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. Fearkiller
One of the most brutal ones I've found is "I hope you outlive your children" but I don't know (and hope to never find) anyone who'd deserve that. It's crosses a few (dozen) limits. (picked up on Reddit, supposedly no one has really said it - or half the stuff around there, for that matter ). Is it true the way in a good argument people really lose the brakes? Is it just soap-opera esque bullshit? They have to keep the drama up, I don't think anyone would act that way IRL. (Or I don't know the wrong people..) Like, if they thought half a second, I doubt anyone would say that. But by that point rational thought has left the building, I guess? "I'm sorry." Fat lot of good that does after they're hurt someone to the bone. Raincloak
There were about 50 people ahead of me (with 4 desks in service) who mostly needed things more complicated than renewing a license, or who didn't speak English well and didn't comply with instructions, or just arrived without having their shit together. I had to identify a few blinky lights on a machine, get a photo snapped, and hand over 50 bucks. It's not that other people are less important, but those people are supposed to be in a different queue so the office can serve everyone in an efficient manner. They even have separate estimated wait times on the website. But apparently when things get busy they just shunt everyone into one big queue to be as inefficient as possible. Maybe they're just gunning for overtime pay? 1 Quote Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. Hylian Assassin 5'5", 143 lbs. Half-marathon: 3:02It is pitch dark. I like the Motley Fool method of car shopping. You figure out exactly what car you want, pick your options, maybe take a few test drives, then go home and invite all the dealers for 50 miles around to bid for the right to sell you that car. By email, so they don't spam you with phone calls. Preferably late in the month when they're all sweating their quotas. I've always wanted to try that and watch the shark frenzy. (It only really works if you're buying a new car though. Mine is used, so had to walk in there to see what they had, but I still got a good deal by knowing what I wanted, having a price in mind, and being willing to walk out with no car if I didn't get it.) Frost of the Gloaming
Work, have an employee that I supervise who is an angry man that doesn't understand the 1st amendment "I can say whatever I want and I shouldn't have to suffer the consequences from it." "Well if you are threatening left and right hooks, and nailing people to crosses to their face, there might be some repercussions." had to deal with that today. He also gets angry if anyone in the Agency gets a promotion, in order to get a promotion you first have to pass a statewide test and be in the top 3 (not top 3%, top 3) so I looked up his info to see if anything could be done,( just to shut him up) the last time he took a test was 1986; 30 friggin years ago.
