    • First of all, you are already awesome. Second, is this something you can take to your therapist? Helping someone grow into a slightly different person is basically what they do.
    • Yes, to both. Though I would argue that for some couples the perspective is that the relationship remains the same, and they are the ones who are changing. They committed to each other when they were very young, and are as committed to each other today... they're just different people now compared to then (obvious example: my parents were not parents when they got married, over 40 years ago).      Cixin Liu is an award winning science fiction author, and the genius behind the 3 Body Problem novel trilogy. It's been adapted into a show on Netflix.       You deserve to feel loved and wanted and valued and desired. If you don't, something new needs to be negotiated, because being married is honestly exhausting. If you're going to put all that energy and effort into another human being, then he should damn well love you and treat you like the gift to him that you are. Don't settle for less than that, and don't give up on the marriage without making a sincere effort to renegotiate and create something better together, either.     This is wise and brave and I will study this technique in preparation for my next encounter with Procrastination.   My thoughts   My thoughts, and warning in advance that they're going to be a bit blunt... clarity over tact. I'm not trying t be mean, just be clear about the point I am making.
    • Glad you are feeling a little better!    I think I am a few hundred hours into my island, too. Like 800+? I’d have to check. It’s a good game. I am currently in love with Coral Island and cannot wait for it to finally come to Switch. No idea when that will be, but I want it!
    • My brain is restless and discontent. Nothing is working.     Wait, wrong gif...
    • Medical update: the medicine is taking effect, and the rattling and coughing has been reducing.   Yesterday was a movie marathon of Howl's Moving Castle, Coco, Vivo, and In The Heights. I haven't had any trouble dancing to tunes or singing my favorite lines, but I did refrain from doing that the entire time so I wouldn't strain myself by accident, but it was very reassuring and mostly lively (HMC is good for making me feel human, but the other three have amazing music vibes). Today could have been a movie marathon, too, but... I played Animal Crossing... and then didn't stop. 😆 Cid and I had a laugh last night comparing our game play hours. I've got 700+ hours on this island (which I'm attempting to wrap up before starting fresh), and his top three games on Steam don't even add up to that because his top is 200 hrs, and the next two are between that and 150. Then he kept scrolling, and the games that I played (see Car Mechanic Simulator and Terra Nil, among others) took top spots, too (like 5 out of his top 20). 😅 Anyway, still haven't caught a Mahi-Mahi despite my efforts throwing bait from the pier, but I have caught pumpkin fever by being time travelled up to October where the villagers got me excited about Halloween, so I got distracted from fishing to put up so many more pumpkin things. 😂   Anyway, I'm putting it down for an hour or so to do other things and let my brain know I got things done. Like today's Sudoku puzzle. 😉   Thanks for checking on me. I'm not dead yet. I feel happy. I feel happy. 😆  Maerad
    • Hell yeah! You entered into a hard dungeon level and skipping a little treat knowing "I had little treats earlier." Is an epic win. May the a/c be super easy to fix! And the "slumber party" goes better tonight
    • calf raises 🐝 side kicks 🐝  I really didn't want to do a jumping move in my workout to day, so I did these instead in that time slot
    • Sorry about the tough day. I feel like shrimp can be tough to cook. It goes from raw to overcooked really easily. Yay for saying no to the treat.
    • RIGHT?!?! A group of mortorcyclists went in the day and one died, the others are in care, and of course the helicopters couldn't get to them. Heat tourism is a weird idea to me, right up there with Tide Pods.   I agree that this is the whole nugget -- when the heat index goes above a certain point, don't go out at all, and certainly don't take your kids on a hike.   I've been on the phone this afternoon with the dog owners and I am beside myself trying to get DudleyTheDog out from under the bed long enough just to go outside and pee. I've tired eveything i can think of, and I'm pretty certain it will simply require a second person since we keep playing the round-the-circle-can't-catch-me game. I've put water in the room and am going to try again after I get back from my viola lesson.
