    • Yup, that was gross. An interesting way to see them through different stages though.
    • We only really saw it from the boat down the Seine and there is still scaffolding up but the repairs are coming on. It's due to reopen in December this year.      I know, it's like the ultimate troll isn't it 😂
    • I am glad that you are starting to feel better. I am also glad that Coach is backing up the recovery protocols. ❤️    Love your photos.
    • Eek!  It better be good news!  How dare they tease you like that.
    • I love and appreciate the Mother Hen energy, though. ❤️ I'm always grateful knowing someone is looking out for me, even if from afar.   I'm feeling much better today. I seem to have broken the fever cycle finally and some of the fatigue has gone. I'm still a little foggy in the brain, but not quite as bad as I was Sunday and yesterday. I woke up due to a scritch in my throat that made me cough every other breathe or so. It was 5am so I went ahead and got up for the day and had a small 1/2 glass of orange juice and a cough drop. Once the cough drop was gone, I chugged a can of coconut water which the Man went and got for me -- he had to go get fingerprinting done for background check stuff for the new position he was selected for. The next opportunity wasn't until the end of the month and he'd rather not wait. He said he was feeling much better, just a little worn out and had the remnant runny nose/sore throat from nasal drainage so he suffered through. Anyway, coconut water is definitely not a favorite of mine, but it does help significantly with hydration so I'm making it happen. Including the coconut water (which coach told me to track as part of my water intake as well as macros since it does have carbs in it), I drank 134oz of water yesterday which is great. Now to keep that up! I got plenty of fluids to replenish from the last few days haha! I did see the scale jump up 1.5lbs so that's good (I know, weird) but I know that means I'm replenishing food and hydration successfully. Hard work paid off.   Yesterday I did meet all my macros despite the epic struggle to force food down. This morning, though, I started off strong with avocado toast and runny eggs with a side of center-cut bacon. It didn't sound absolutely revolting so that's an improvement. I was able to get it all down without too much of a struggle, either, which is also a good sign. Before breakfast, I took a nice walk with the dogs while it was still cool - the sun had risen enough for it to be light out but not enough to start cooking us on the pavement within seconds. We managed our normal 1-mile walk and I felt very good. Fresh air is always healthy and I definitely needed that.   Supplements and meds are all taken to get through the day. Greet the Day has happened.  I meditated in bed last night before turning off my light and focused on the good. I'm currently reading Super Attractor: Methods for Manifesting a Life Beyond Your Wildest Dreams by Gabrielle Berstein. It's a recommendation from the head coach/founder of the coaching program I'm in and so far, I like it. I'm just barely into Chapter 2 so lots and lots to learn yet. Speaking of Coach, she is having me forego workouts this week and maintaining macros. I haven't had a deload week since my beach vacation in June so she said I'm due for one anyway so we're making this a week to focus on small movement like walking and maybe some gentle yoga when I'm feeling a bit stronger. No reason to stress myself any further with a change in macros, either. Her focus for me is to get nutritious food in and plenty of water - even if that means missing macros. Recovery comes first, then goal progress. This is nice and I really needed her to tell me that to make me feel better about essentially taking a week off.   Not much else to report on right now. I'm taking it as easy as I can and letting my body tell me what it needs most. I'll leave a couple pretty photos (taken with my phone so not the best quality) from this morning's walk for you to enjoy:
    • I think I'm afraid the machine will malfunction and pop my girls like a balloon. 😭     😂😂😂
    • Yes and no.  Big leaf hydrangeas change color dramatically from pink to blue depending upon pH.  This particular hydrangea is a panicle hydrangea, so pH does not affect the color.  However, the color does subtly change as the flowers age, starting lime green, and transitioning through creamy white and pale pink before turning brown.
    • It's like screwing around with a photocopier, only without the being drunk at the office Christmas party and the terrible 80s fashion from when that was a thing.
    • This is very fair - I think just take some time to mull it over/talk it through is very OK.
