Reaper
Pardon if I missed it, but besides weightlifting or other fitness activities do you enjoy? Videogames, certain games in particular. reading, hiking, etc. Personally I feel I have a odd range of interests, I like weightlifting because of how primal and real it is, at that moment you're giving everything you have towards one certain thing. Nothing better than pulling through a heavy deadlift, at that poing it doesn't matter how much weight it is. Only that you did it. But at the same time, I tend to enjoy reading quite a bit, especially fantasy, I love videogames, particularly the legend of zelda series, mario series, elder scrolls especially TES 3, minecraft, S.T.A.L.K.E.R which was sadly cancelled. I enjoy creepypasta, certain anime, history. I like that stuff I suspose for the exact opposite, it doesn't matter who you are then, it was an escape when I was lonely, and when I was worried, it gave me a opportunity to stop thinking about being single, or not hitting my PR, or more seriously family issues etc. Switching back to the mundane I also enjoy knives and firearms quite a bit. How about you guys? Quote Link to comment

iatetheyeti
On one hand I love hiking, mountain biking (downhill and cross country), kayaking, have what some would call an unusual fixation on swords and knives, love the mechanical aspect of putting together a bike (and would love to try it out on something with an engine)... And on the other hand I enjoy reading, cooking, and knitting, love photography and film-making, and want nothing more than to expand my 'vegetable patch' to more than a couple of pots of spring onions to a full scale greenhouse operation. ...lots of things, really! Zorch
Stuff I like: Outdoorsy stuff(Running, hiking, etc.). In nature and away from large crowds of people is one of the places I feel most "at peace" with myself and the world."Computer geek" stuff - electronics/gadgets, programming etc.Foods/cooking - I don't consider myself a great cook, but I like trying new foods, and appreciate good meals prepared from scratchAthletics - I like feeling strong AND fast. I'm more of a generalist than a specialist here - being able to throw down both a 400-lb deadlift and a 20 minute 5k appeals to me.Stuff I like, but don't spend as much time on as I'd like due to other constraints(Full-time+ job, grad school) these days:Travel - I like going to places I haven't been before, and to places that other people often don't go. Alaska was awesome, and I've got a huge list of places to go. Need to start working my way through them. Photography. I definitely make it a point to photograph things when I go to new places, and enjoy experimenting with my camera. Just not enough of this latelyComputer Gaming: I used to enjoy gaming quite a bit - single player, cooperative, as well as competitive, and in some cases competed at a fairly high level(not quite "professional", but I might have been able to get there had I wanted to, and decided to dedicate myself to it) Quote "Restlessness is discontent - and discontent is the first necessity of progress.
