AkDD Posted October 28, 2013 Report Share Posted October 28, 2013 Hello! D here to join the rebellion. Growing up in Alaska comes with living a pretty active life. I’ve spent my summers commercial fishing, and my winters gathering firewood to keep the house warm. After graduating high school, I was recruited to play basketball for a college in Oregon, after which I moved back to Alaska to build a home. Living in a village of less than 200 people in bush Alaska has its perks: you know your neighbor (along with everyone else in the village), have a close-knit community, and can live a pretty self-sufficient lifestyle. Nevertheless, it definitely has its drawbacks: there are no gyms, fitness classes, or health-food stores. Which leads to why I’m here: My goal is to be a better, healthier me. I don’t have access to a gym, treadmill, or free weights, and eating Paleo may be a challenge considering we shop for our groceries in bulk and fly them in (it’s impossible to keep fresh produce around for long). Hooowever, I WILL make this work! No more excuses, right? After browsing, Nerd Fitness seems like the perfect resource for bodyweight-focused training and offers access to a pretty awesome supportive community. So, here we go! Quote Link to comment

If you're planning on going through the Challenges then the Assassins are the guild for you, they specialize in Bodyweight exercising and Parkour, maybe you can try to implement some movements such as those in your workouts, there have been plenty of people who've gotten in excellent shape without lifting anything but themselves.
