    • Tired today so taking it easy. Weather is nice though so might get out later.  went to town yesterday to get some much needed trousers and have a snoop round the shops. Still only own 3 pairs of trousers i can fit into (despite trying quite a few on, as usual the cuts are bad) . Will be so happy when i eventually get down  enough to be able to wear my cords again. Might be a while though.    everywhere had Christmas decorations onsale (despite it being barely being october) but i did manage to find a few caches of Halloween stuff. One place i walked into had such cool Halloween costumes. Made me wish i could wear that stuff more often and thus justify buying cool headpieces made from branches and winged masks covered in rhinestones and crowns with black gems.    did find some cool bat jewellery (which i will be wearing all year round) and an amazing advent calendar that creates a freestanding Christmas tree decoration you slowly add little animal to. Kind of ran out of energy half way through and had to call it, but we did most of everything we meant to.    weather is nice today but pretty tired so having a rest day.  did some more to my bujo. It is ongoing slowly. But im very happy with how it looks so far
    • Thanks! It's not a hard schedule per se but sticking to it is an important step. The meditation is a bit harder than I was expecting as time seems to last forever. I'm expecting progress will come with practice.           5 days   Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday       09/22 09/23 09/24 09/25 09/26                   Success%       100%                           Workout                 Running       Yes         Grooming       Yes         Meditation       Yes         Sleeping       Yes
    • Week 4 Wednesday Got my gym cardio (+10 xp) and some bouldering (+3 xp). Ranged attack against the turkey misses (9 to hit). Chopped some blackberries, but no arrow making attempts because I don't have feathers yet. Also, short rest.   Turkey: 3 hp Short Rests: 20 Week 4: 30 xp   Hal fired an arrow, but it went wide and lodged in a nearby tree. The turkeys were startled, but Hal froze and after a few minutes where there didn't appear to be any further danger, they went back to eating.
    • I definitely got my movement points for today. I took apart the bed frame and helped lug the headboard downstairs and into the garage. Its solid wood. I also vacuumed under the bed which I don't know if that's ever been done 👀  the hard part of the getting the bedroom ready for the new bed is done. And I took off my roof bin 🥲 fun adventure season is at its end. Though I still want to sneak in some fall hikes while I still have the conservation pass.    My giant to-do list  - clean new sheets - clean mattress and pillow protectors - organize linen closet - put suitcase away - bring extra hampers downstairs/in bathroom - dismantle bed frame - relocate bedframe + head and foot boards (2/3 done) - add power bar to mine or piotrs side of bed - dust bedroom - wipe walls - vacuum under and around bed  - dismantle Wesley tent   - take off Thule bin - put camp bedding away - reorganize camp bin - pack up camping cupboard  - get rid of bedframe, headboard and footboard   - go through pantry* - go through fridge* - go through freezer   - spray downstairs carpet with enzyme killer - fix washer - clean laundry room and reorganize   - exchange propane   - book rental car for December   - reorganize garage - drop off empties   - weed front garden bed - weed blueberries and raspberry - clean up dead plants / dirt    - return Walmart clothes - return Amazon filters + brown shoes + Wesley's doggles?  - find or get printer ink

    • Here's the front room I'm transforming into my home gym.  The treadmill has been there (not in that orientation) since we moved in, but I've cleared out most of the homeschool stuff.  Just gotta find new homes for the remaining office items and see if anyone wants to buy this table and chairs.  We bought them on Craigslist in 2010 and have gotten more than our $150 out of them; even though I had to refinish the top a few years ago.  The rug can go away, too--maybe Brick will want it for his college dorm room.  The light fixture is new this year, but I might need to raise it a foot or so.  And because I have a spreadsheet for everything:     When I got home from work I pulled the trigger on all my gear purchases (and some new lids for my Pyrex containers).  $1,500 later and now begins the waiting for pacakages to start arriving (my delivery drivers are going to hate me).  But I did go to my local Dick's to pick up the weights, which includes a cheapie barbell and a full set of iron plates.  I've got a better barbell coming from Titan along with my rack.  Since I had the new bar and the house to myself this evening I went ahead and did a 5x5 of unloaded bent-rows, overhead presses, and back squats.  I can't believe how much better I already feel from just the one workout--it's good to touch iron (well, chrome-plated steel) again.   The plan is to loose-lay the rubber flooring directly over the existing wood (cheapest crap engineered hardwood I've ever seen--previous owner put it in before selling) and mount the rack to the center of that left wall.  It's going to be pretty nice when it's done.  I considered putting it the garage, but I'd rather have the high ceiling and the air conditioning, plus the garage is always covered in sawdust.  This was my intent for the house even before I lost Amber, and the goal was always to make it nice and maybe get her training with me.  That wasn't to be, but I'm going to press on.  It'll be nice to have a dedicated space where I can keep working on Lean and Strong.  I'll be interested in seeing just how well this rig supports my goals.
    • Well… rehearsal was fun. I’m glad I went. Choir friend and I got stymied by a looooong train crossing on the way home though so didn’t get home til like 945, so no dinner until 10 🥲 it’s either eat at 5 pm or wait until 930, no reasonable options on a choir night!   Nonetheless, protein, fibre and calories bang on every day this week so far (and last week was pretty good too)! I am definitely benefiting from meal prep & some leftover-generating meals on the weekend.   I’m so excited for Saturday because Mr TG and I are driving our bikes out of town to a rail trail and going for a long ride!  This weekend can’t come soon enough!! But tomorrow should be good, nothing scheduled except some lifting and some science.
    • Very nice. I particularly like the lamppost, I don't know why but my eye keeps getting drawn back to it
    • Discover   I'm kind of enjoying doing these fast one-offs rather than the labor-intensive art I've been doing lately.  They are rife with mistakes, but it's fine.  It's about getting a vision on paper, even if it isn't perfect.
