Siferiax
I'll be in New York for a week in the very near future and I was wondering if anyone had any sightseeing tips. Well that is, beyond the obvious things I'll be going there with my mom and aunt and my mom's been there before so a lot of things are on the list already. STILL anything less familiar that is worth checking out??? cline
a boat tour on the river from near battery park is really nice. I love Bryant Park. Central Park is also a great place. Naturally, the museums are really top notch. Honestly. I AM going the distance 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood. Morrigainz
Check out Chinatown. It's pretty awesome. Go to Toy Tokyo. Also Brooklyn Bridge. Also, if you like pizza, go to Pomodoro. It's on Spring St, just on the other side of Chinatown in Little Italy. You could also check out David Bowie's penthouse. Assuming he still lives there/owns property there/whatevs. Level ? stevembk
Do not drive in NYC. Its a nightmare. Cab or subway anywhere you need to go. Id try to see a yankee game at their new stadium if that's not already obvious. Duality
My M-i-L just got back yesterday from NYC actually, she went at the Lego store and didn't get anything, QQ I'm sure google could be a great friend of yours for this, it also depends on your taste, if you plan on bringing a camera to take a lot of pictures, some places might be better as to if you don't plan on taking any pictures. JessOfAllTrades
Hitting up a show is always fun - Try for will call or get tickets in Times Square - the selection is more limited, but it's cheaper. The off-broadway stuff is also worth checking out. I haven't been to the 9/11 Memorial yet, but I hear it's something to see. The MET is fantastic, and if you were going with anyone another than your mom (depending on her humor though), the Sex Museum is really fun and interesting. Assuming he still lives there/owns property there/whatevs. oooh I'm sure my mom would also be interested in David Bowie stuff haha. Thanks! Do not drive in NYC. Its a nightmare. Cab or subway anywhere you need to go. Id try to see a yankee game at their new stadium if that's not already obvious. Nah we won't even have a car, so subway about 99% of the time, maybe a cab if needed. Yankee would be...??? It's either Baseball or Football, isn't it?
