10 Mile Run - Woot!!

Recommended Posts

Hello -

I began running fairly seriously about a year and a half ago.  Since then I have managed to complete 12+ 5Ks, and a couple of 4 - 5 mile races.  As part of upping my game this year, I decided to sign up for the Akron Ohio Half-Marathon in 2015.  To do that I've been working on extending my long runs in the weekend and adding some miles.

This past Sunday I was able to hit the road and break the 10 mile barrier!!  Running continuously for 10 miles is something I never would have imagined i could do a couple of years ago, and now here I am!!

Congratulations!

I've got the same goal (half-marathon) and I'm really looking forward to hitting the big 10k mark.

Well done and keep pushing!

This motivates me :)

Congratulations. 10 miles is a big hump.

I've run a few half marathons. Finishing your first one is a high that lasts for days. Good luck.

Did I offer advice in my post?  Please keep the following in mind:

  • I am not a doctor nor any other kind of medical professional.
  • I am not a lawyer.
  • I am not a mental health provider
  • I am not a nutritionist
  • Your mileage may vary
  • I don't do anything in moderation
  • I have lots of injuries & if you train like me, you probably will too.
