Myrik
Hello Rebels, My name is Myrik, I'm a Dad of 2 girls, I'm an Operations Specialist First Class (E-6) in the U.S. Coast Guard. I'm an avid gamer, anything from video games to Table top RPG's. I like to read Sci Fi, Fantasy, and Steampunk books. The reason I joined the Rebellion is to be able to run around and chase my girls and not feel winded or tired after only 20 minutes. Recently I took a hike with my Lieutenant to re-enlist in the Coast Guard and felt winded after a 0.2 mile hike up Bradbury Mountain in Maine. After feeling so out of shape I knew I had to do something and remembered reading about the Jedi work out on nerd fitness back before the new Star Wars came out and decided to look more into the Academy and finally took the leap and here I am. My ultimate goal is to feel great and look good. My short term goal is to get below the Coast Guards max allow able weight for me which is 202 pound. only need to drop 8 more, would love to do this before April first but we shall see. 3 Quote Myrik's blue print for the Year of the Fire Rooster Challenges: Current Past: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII Tracker Myfitnesspal Garmin Account Stories Art of Manliness reading list Link to comment
Ojara
Seems we have a lot in common, 2 girls that we can barely keep up with and we're from Maine. I am new here too, and seeing someone else from Maine got me excited, we can do this brother, stay strong! Myrik
Yes we can do this. I'll actually be moving from Maine this Summer, transfer time with the Coast Guard. Moving to a climate this Desert Rat is more acclimated to, Houston TX. Best of luck in the battle Ojara, I'll be rooting for you. Flagwaver
Welcome, brother. I say that because you wear a uniform just like I did (though, I was Army and not a Coastie), so you're my brother. I'm new here, too, and finding that this place is great. Full of motivation, full of great people, and full of helpful plans to get you into shape. Quote Introduction | Character Sheet | Body Progress | Battle Log | Epic Quest Challenges: I Link to comment
