This is a walking PvP that will be running during the current 6 week challenge from 8th June - 12th July 5 levels this time:Titanium - 200km's (124 miles)Gold - 150 km's (93 miles)Silver - 100km's (62 miles)Bronze - 50km's (31 miles)Copper - 25km's (16 miles) PVP Rules 1. Pick a level above that will stretch you but you think you can make. During the challenge walk that many km's in 6 weeks. 2. Sign up in this sheet and track your km/miles during the 6 week challenge. 3. Specify after your name either (walking) or (pedometer) depending on if you will be tracking either just specific "I'm going for a walk" distances (walking) or I will track steps by wearing a pedometer/fitbit/etc. (pedometer). It's easier to get more mileage using a pedometer so we want to keep you accountable to hit those higher medals 4. When hubby and I go on walks together, we both set our pedometer apps and and then check at the end to see how they match up. They are pretty close, usually no further than .05 apart. Also measured it against my gps when we were out geocaching and it was pretty close. Presea Posted June 6, 2015 Report Share Posted June 6, 2015 I tracked my miles for following the Eowyn Challenge during the last 6WC. I ended up at 83 miles, so I will try for the Gold level - hoping it pushes me to take more short walks over my lunch break (now I'm mostly just going for long walks on the nights I don't have tennis or bike to work). I have a pedometer, but I'm only tracking designated walks for this. However if you're running a bit walking a bit, sometimes running sometimes walking that's all good. I was able to get a mile in this morning and yesterday, but that was as far as I could walk. By 8 am it is 90 degrees! It was sort of fun to walk and see all the different cactus though. Then I went in and walked on the treadmill some. Then I remembered how boring the treadmill is. Tuesday I did my walking on the elliptical, hopefully that is ok. The elliptical feels more like walking to me than the treadmill. So I got few miles in running and walking today in the lovely 93 F weather and all I can say is IT. SUCKED. Times like this I think my Alaska blood shows -this body was not meant for Toastyness ....Is it pathetic I'm envying you southerners your winter miles???
