    • Absolutely woke up on the wrong side of the bed this year morning. I've felt like shit all day and been in a mood to match. With no apparent explanation. The one thing I've done so far is laundry, and only because I need clean clothes for PT tomorrow. I'm currently avoiding a shower but that's also a must if I'm going out in public tomorrow because I'm so gross rn. Beyond that I don't think anything is getting done. Maybe a trip to target to pickup the sunscreen and other actual needed things that I ordered, but if I do that I'll want to stop at a local drive thru which isn't a great idea. Oh that reminds me: not helping my shitty mood is the scale being up a couple pounds. I haven't done anything lately to make it go down, but seeing it scoot up isn't fun.   Ive decided the spirituality goal isn't going to be a daily thing. More of a "read things and meditate and see what comes of it" goal. I did get a bunch of books from the library the other day but not the ones recommended in my last thread because while I was looking for those ones I kept getting distracted going "oh that looks good, oh this one sounds interesting, ooooh yes that too!" So I walked out with 7 books and honestly only stopped there bc the bag I had couldn't handle more. Woo nerd.    so anyway. I am alive today and that'll have to do.
    • they really should've scheduled it for a more convenient time. D<   Idk if you tried this but apparently it's much more visible if you look through your phone camera? For me light pollution was a huge part regardless; my immediate surroundings are the worst for stuff like this.

    • Oh waiting on doctors is an Olympic sport.  I hope it's nothing serious.
    • Week 1 - Friday/Saturday   LoseIt: 🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁 Water: 🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁 Read: 🧁🧁🧁 Movement: 🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖 Tidy: 🥖🥖🥖🥖 Bake: 🍰   The weekend has been really great so far. Yesterday, my husband arranged a date night for an early Mother's Day gift. He bought tickets to one of our favorite musicals that was showing at a local theater (Reefer Madness 🌿) and got his parents to take the kids for a sleepover. We had dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant before the show, which was amazing (and soooo filling). And I got a last minute appointment to get a second ear piercing as a gift to myself.      We got home late, but we weren't tired, so I baked a lemon pie for today's brunch at my in law's. Nothing like midnight baking while listening to the Reefer Madness soundtrack! This morning we got to sleep in, then I made some gluten-free brownies. Rave reviews from the family on the desserts. ❤️
    • The Oblong Office  The Patrician's Palace  Ankh-Morpork   12th May, Year of the Moribund Aardvark   My Dear Miss Kingdom,   As you may be aware, I have, out of concern for your welfare in the hands of wizards, taken it upon myself to correspond on occasion with a certain Mr Nightingale, who assures me he is both wizard and policeman, though I can in truth spot little resemblance to either. (I believe it would be an entertaining exercise to ask Commander Vimes and Archchancellor Ridcully for their opinions on the man, and I regret that I cannot do so. One must find one's amusements where one can in this job, but alas.)   He has introduced me to a fascinating practice: I am informed that he rewards significant sleep deficit with suspension, and considers it moderately effective. I am intrigued, and have prepared the scorpion pit for use.   While you have crept over the threshold for suspension today, it seems that you will be back on the right side of the line by midnight. I'm inclined to overlook it this once; it creates a hassle for both clerks and palace guards to rearrange staffing for less than a day.   However, future infractions will be dealt with. Do not let me suspend you.     Your humble servant,   Lord Havelock Vetinari, Patrician of Ankh-Morpork
    • At the moment, regular rest breaks help, and so does timeboxing that enforces regular switches between work and exercise/rest. But it's imperfect. There are always reasons not to follow the schedule.
    • No need to apologise. It all takes energy and when your really tired you have to use what energy you have sensibly. Coming on here uses spoons too and i definitely have weeks when i just struggle to read and reply to others stuff
    • I know, right? Typical 😆. It was a great day though. Just one of those perfect summer days, that your half sure you cant be remembering right from when your a kid, but do actually exist.
