Legally bound to hug people in need.

Living life as a Druid is about walking with the beasts. It's about being scared, looking your fears in the eyes and going on anyway. Dread doesn't go away, you just learn to know it. It's still a beast, it still has fangs, but you walk among it.

Holy shit.

I haven't been in my bouldering gym for a while now (that's where the casting takes place) and now I've seen what they built so new.

Well, that can be cheerful.

That last one looks really difficult! Is it the same obstacles for both men and women?

I think these are just the fun obstacles and may not be in the casting (hopefully :D )

At the casting men and women do have the same obstacles but other goals (so e.g. (fictional) push ups: men need 20 and women 5 )

Didn't you have someone who promised to help you train for NW?

Yeah but I also need someone who knows the specific Ninja Warrior stuff.

Today was the personal training.

My coach was great, I already knew him from bouldering. Practically he also knew exactly what happens in casting ;)
So we did it in an hour:

Spoiler

- Swinging on the pole and jumping 3m further into a target, I was 50cm too short.
- Stand high jump (i.e. jump over a pole) up to 1.10m. I had to pass at 90cm (I would have found it easier to jump on it instead of over).
- Hanggling. Balls, rings, a towel. need to improve :D
- gymnastic ball. 90 sec time for: Hold in a flowing movement (no single exercises) with each figure for 2 seconds, everything without touching the ground: lying on your stomach, squatting without hands, standing up) not so difficult at all, except for the last point ;)
- 3min time for push-ups (chest touches floor) alternating with box jumps. I did two laps (in the first lap he missed to write it down). Second round: 22 push-ups, 25 box jumps

And now my whole body is sooooooo heavy. And I am pleasantly exhausted. At first I thought I was tired, but then I couldn't sleep. My body feels warm everywhere too. :D
And: For a 2 months sports break (he also said that to me) and +7kg that was not so bad. He also gave me some good tips.
So from next week on I will be able to really hit it again with training a  I now know what to train in particular.

Since I don't know how to compare to (beside myself ;) ) I am not sure :D

But because I don't want to be on TV and just do the casting I have nothing to lose!

And I think I will ask the people who are measuring the stuff in the casting what they think.

Cool, seems like a good session! How do you feel about the casting now?

Quite often I can’t sleep after a really heavy session, I think it’s partly a bit of a stress response and partly being hyped up!

A lot better ;)
I know my weknesses now and I can train for that and think that I can get better in the stuff they are casting.

It might be because I already slept 8hrs last night and just my body was exhausted but I wasn't tired enough to sleep.

Hold that thought, you could actually make it to the TV screen and be part of the show. That'd be a scary scene requiring a tenacious assassin to beat. ;)

Also, I'm totally impressed and wish you fun on the casting.

Even if they would invite me to the show I am not sure if I would say yes or decline ;)

So today I can move again (I. Was. So. Sore. the last days) so I will train the exercises again in the gym.

I had no idea anything like that even existed :D But it sounds great! I know Heaton (of CS fame) is a big proponent of physical exercise for eSport professionals. Found an article about it :) Sweden https://www.metro.se/artikel/heaton-mitt-tips-till-e-sportare-börja-rör-på-er

As you may remember I have spent the last weeks "just" thinking. No goals. No restrictions. No massive todo-lists.

I wanted to get my shit together again and think about how to be calmer. And what's wrong in my life and how to change it.

2019's theme will be: #moreless

More: Productivity, fun, meeting people in person, beeing outside, nature, 20 seconds of courage, listen to my body, relaxing

Less: Social media, chats, competition, comparison, procrastination, stuff, worries, work I don't like

I think about part-time self-employment for a while now so I will start something in this area. In regards to this I will not go back to my full time job but leave it part time.

I will do more sports but with another mindset. Less competition, more fun.

I will eat healthier again, get better with IE and lose some kgs again (and also thinking about a liposuction)

I will read at least 1 book per week.

I will try at least 1 new recipe per week.

I will do the #52tasksperyear you can find here

And the most important: I will have breaks when I think I'm getting stressed again!
