Mrgso Posted November 12, 2012 Report Share Posted November 12, 2012 So as a total nerd this is the best site EVER!And to think I stumbled upon it randomly while trying to google how to do get better at pull ups when you can't even do one. lol Anyway, yeah I'm new here. I guess I'm a little with the minority being a super nerdy college girl.(But there are more than most people think.) I'm actually in my campus' student organization that plays humans vs zombies and larps and all that fun stuff. I'd also really like to learn parkour but at my current 235lbs it could be physically dangerous. ALL THE MORE REASON TO GET IN SHAPE! So, friends? Do you have any goals you are working on that will help you get to the point where you can learn parkour?Yes, right now I'm working on getting down to a decent BMI (for me that means losing about 100lbs.) And I'm also doing some strength training. I've never bothered with building muscle in the past. Sometimes I would use weight lifting machines but it was more so because they were supposed to burn more calories than just running all the time. This site has so far made working out fun! I'm on day 2 and I was actually disappointed that I had to let my muscles rest a bit! Never thought I'd say that. It just works so much better if you pretend you're preparing for a zombie apocalypse or making Optimus Prime proud than if you're counting calories.
