The Antipodean
Hi all, Normally I join these things and lurk in the shadows. So I'm hoping to get out of that rut from the start!I'm from Tasmania, Australia. I'm in my mid thirties. I was very overweight. 145kgs. And after a relative was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and a doctor informed me I'd have 80% chance of enjoying a life with daily injected insulin unless I got healthy, I decided to turn my health around. I've dropped twenty kilos in under 6 months just by eating better and walking. But now I can walk without nearly keeling over I decided I should take advantage of the gym that's only walking distance and take up lifting weights again. I've booked for an induction next week.I'm nervous but excited. Wish me luck! Quote Link to comment
