Useless as a Magicarp :/

Hi everyone,

My name is Anna, I'm 19 years old, love videogames and sadly every kind of ice-cream and cake in the universe. A couple of years back I got fed up with being porky and went on the traditional, "women who eat less to look but but not necessarily feel better" diet and consequently lost too much weight. I could encircle my entire thigh with both my hands and still have room left over. Although I was pleased with my success, I felt like shit so after a lot of agonizing mental rewiring I began to eat more and gain the weight back. Last month, I saw that post about Staci and how she went through the same thing and this has inspired me to take up strength training. Any and all tips would be welcome! Like where to start, what supplements to take, etc. I tried to lift a 2.5 kg (5lb) dumbbell the other day but after like 5 reps, it just dropped out of my hand. I feel as useless as a magicarp but I'm ready to evolve :) Anyway, I look forward to reading everyone's posts on the forums.
