GemNoir
Okay I don't know whether or not there is a thread out there like this already (I suspect there is), but I don't know where to find it and thought that this would be a cool little help thread for anyone who wants to feel more inspired in their workouts.Music can make you feel many things including being determined or fighting towards a goal. So I'm wondering - what kind, if any, music do you have hooked into your ears when working out?I've only just started working out but my main looks to when I am are -Superchick (specifically their Rock What You Got album)Stick It! 's OST (brill movie if you want to feel like getting into shape)Eminem (his faster songs only)And a few japanese rock artists...Specifically on the Superchick album "One More" is a particularly powerful song for encouraging a workout. What about you guys? JAbq
I enjoy slacker radio on my android due to the variety. I like to tune into the hard rock for some workouts and dubstep or electronic hits for others. Lately it's been on Hard rock. Quote Link to comment
GemNoir
Man, I've gotta go through these and see what I think of them as my workout playlist is a little on the short side. But I love your Eye of the Tiger MirGSS.I had to do some weird fighting themed dance thing for my PE class back in high school and I can now never listen to that song without cringing in humiliation. But it is a classic ;-) Lol. Quote I am stronger than my fears. This is the mountain that I climb, Got one hundred steps to go. Tonight I'll make it ninety-nine. Corbab
My workout playlist is pretty random, and short, since I don't spend hours organizing my music any more. Here goes:-Distant Relatives -Nas and Damien Marley, rap/reggae, nothing else like it-Rammstein-Rage Against the Machine-Gigantic -The Pixies-Aesop Rock-Leftover Crack-Star Fucking HipstersReally anything loud or fast. If I hit a really good song, I'll repeat it until one of my tough sets. Stavs
I zone out so much while lifting that I don't listen to music. If I decide to run though it's usually the same old trance playlist like MirGSS. DJ Doboy - Elements HydrogenIt has a really good steady beat/pace to the music that I find easy to run to. Last time I tried to run to Double kick death metal by Insomnium I ended up sprinting up a 500meter hill to start my run and started walking home after about 5 minutes. dodsfall
If I am feeling drained there is nothing like Gogol Bordello or Korpiklaani to get me moving again and pushing it until the rest of me gets going. I am starting to think that creating a playlist that flows nicely is the hardest part of working out especially with my eccentric tastes. Quote Link to comment
