Now's the time to sign-up for a Player-versus-Player accountability challenge sure to motivate you to tackle those weight loss goals! Of course, we only advocate losing healthy weight and using healthy methods to get there! This playful side quest is less about beating your peers to the finish line than it is about challenging yourself, making some new accountibilibuddies, and having a place to share your battle plan or struggles along the way. Feel free to set your goals online with either the 5 weeks of your next two challenges, or include both Week Zeros for a full 12 weeks. Set goals that you think are realistic (that could even be 6lbs/12weeks or whatever works for you) It's okay to need a break sometimes, even if it’s not Week 0. If you find you need to take a week off, that’s okay. Take the time you need, and hop back into the spreadsheet when you’re ready. Stick around for the excellent company and to cheer on your fellow pirates. Weigh-in sometime this week, and again every week. Share your data in the SPREADSHEET! Post your successes, struggles, and tips. The Rules 1. Sign-up using the SPREADSHEET. Add your name & starting weight, waist measurements optional. Don’t enter a value for “Current Weight” just yet. That will update automatically as you enter your weekly weigh-ins. 10 or 12 lbs in 10 or 12 weeks (roughly 1lb or 0.5kg per week) is the goal but feel free to increase or decrease the difficulty as you see fit. Whatever your goals are, you are most welcome to participate (even if you'd like to join in late)! 2. Introduce yourself to your fellow competitors! Feel free to mention your goals, any battle plans for getting there, and what your primary motivation or inspirations are. Feel free to mention your Challenge goals or BattleLog too! This is an excellent place to get to know others from the forums. 3. Update the SPREADSHEET with your weekly weigh-ins. Eat your veggies! Green leafies are fantastic, but so are non-leafy greens and other colorful veggies! 3. Stay hydrated! It's good for you whole body, including your brain! 4. Visit and update us (and the SPREADSHEET) regularly to build that accountability network. 5. Share your workout playlist for MAXIMUM HYPE!! 6. Get enough sleep, and schedule rest days. Not only does rest and sleep help repair and make our bodies stronger, studies show that a good night's sleep will actually clean your brain so you feel refreshed, focused, and less moody the next day. 7. I took at picture of the scale readout after I stepped on it the third time to confirm. So hopefully things are moving again now. Even if they are only moving by tiny increments. This is my lowest weight in ~4 years and the lowest I’ve been without powerlifting or keto. I am very happy with this path and these results. deftona Posted June 16 Report Share Posted June 16 I'm thinking I might actually do things differently, at least for this challenge and just wanted to run it by you guys to see if it's ok if I join given I am bastardising the rules. I've been toying with not weighing in this challenge because I find if I plateau or gain weight it gives me a case of the fuckits which runs against everything I am trying to achieve. I already have my spreadsheets set up to calculate hypothetical weight loss based on cals in vs cals out, so can I weigh in hypothetically, based on my progress rather than actual weigh ins, and do an actual weigh in at the end? 5 Quote If it's not siesta or fiesta, I'm not interested. Whatever today is, recorded weight 252.3 Half a pound in the half week since I logged to the spreadsheet. I'll take it. Had a huge Father's Day breakfast yesterday but luckily it didn't cause a big fuss on the scale. This week will be difficult with a work potluck Wednesday, dinner poolside at family on Thursday, and then a Summer Sunday brunch again on Sunday (naturally). I feel like I start every week thinking this week will be difficult for various reasons. I've come to the realization that this is the normal and it's just a question of addressing each week's particular difficulty. Starting weight: 164 Goal: 5 pounds Summer is kinda crazy (or maybe that's just life with kids? lol) and I will miss a few weigh-ins while I'm on a trip with the whole family. Weighed today so seems a good day to sign up. start weight 4/6 : 233.7 18/6 : 234.7 want to get back into regular walking this month, now i actually feel more human. Weather is warmer so a weekly swim is on the radar too. Shello Posted June 24 Report Share Posted June 24 Starting Weight (6/14) 252.8 W1 6/17: 252.3 (-0.5) W2 6/24: 251.0 (-1.3) A solid week despite a food day, a barbecue, and a brunch. I'll take it! It did help that we got back out for a walk and made it the whole 3 miles despite the humidity and heat. I did have to sit a spell at mile 2. This week's obstacle - A trip to Seattle with my college bestie. I leave Thursday morning and we're spending the weekend there. I struggle the most with consecutive days off my routine. Sovalis Posted June 25 Report Share Posted June 25 Starting weight: 258.2 lbs 06/03: 262.8 lbs 06/14: 258.2 lbs 06/25: 263.8 lbs So I am up a huge amount this week, which I was expecting given that I went away for the weekend. Eating and movement are never on point when we go home. I had a great weekend though and had a significant NSV when I discovered that I am two t-shirt sizes smaller at Torrid than I was in December, so I’ll take it. I am also beginning to think that my 258 was an anomaly - I’ve seen 260 since then, but only once and the rest of the time I am hovering around 263. So maybe I celebrated too early? It doesn’t really matter, I suppose, just need to keep on keeping on.
