3 Woots for the Price of One Thread!

Woot 1) I CAN DO A PULLUP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE.

Woot 2) I CAN DO A CHINUP (ACTUALLY MAKE THAT TWO CHINUPS) FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE.

Woot 3) I RAN MY 5K AT 26:34 TONIGHT (SHAVED 1:26 OFF MY BEST TIME)

Yayness.

Seriously, I am so glad I came across this site. I've been halfassing it with my exercise for a while now - just going with the flow, not pushing myself to take it up a notch or anything. Now I'm raring to go and work on doing even more pullups and chinups and cutting down my time for the 5k and pushing to do a half marathon and just... yeah. This place is awesome. So full of motivation and encouragement.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

As for the 5k, trust me, you can definitely make your way there. I was injured with a stress fracture all last year (stupid me wouldn't stop pushing myself even with the injury, and only made it worse) and only this past December did I get back on the horse with running. Once I started doing a mix of endurance AND sprints instead of just plain old long-distance running, my cardio boosted in a huge way, and now I can't stop pushing myself to go more and go faster. It's addicting!
