Monday for 4 hours i took care of a friends 3 year old whilst she did errands. He is so lovely and cool. I love him so much. I cant believe how good i am with him!!!!!! Ive also been doing work and trying hard to figure stuff out, financially. I am really in the shit. I am £150 into unaranged overdraft so daily charges. Ive finished a bit of work for someone, to help support them with a grant application. I will be paid £600 for that but not likely to get that money for 3 weeks. So i do have bits here and there but not right away Im also waiting on my DBS checks to go through, before i start on the support worker job. Trying not to allow the stress to overwhelm me but its very hard. I also feel like im coming down with a cold?! sore scratchy throat, keep needing to clear my throat. Bronze is out with friends in an hour, so gives me and Rox some time to clean. And so will have a bit of space. Do some chores around the house etc I may take a stroll later somewhere on my own. Still not got the bike fixed but i have zero money . xx 6 Quote Link to comment
Salinger
FRIDAY!!!! Absolutely loving this song. SO COOL. Yesterday go loads done in the house, its starting to look nice loads of cool art work up and im pleased. We listened to some records, cleaned, unpacked. I have been working hard to figure money out. Jobs.... opportunities. I am still at zero in my account (well i am minus £50 actually but ) But i am trying so hard. it is almost 3pm. I will walk Bronze around 6pm as it will be quieter. She is so cute, upside down next to me, asleep. I LOVE HER SO MUCH. Homemade veggie chili leftovers for tea. Maybe a bath? Maybe a film? I may try to get on a bigger walk this weekend. I hate it being busy tho xx 6 Quote Link to comment
Salinger
Hey all. Sunday - exactly midday. Hope everyone is ok as possible? Yesterday was nice. Walked Bronze with Rox, did some sorting in the house, realy nice leftovers from the freezer with some fresh veggies. Some discussions with Roxy about our diet and adding more fresh stuff. But also being mindful of how it can all affect our mental health. Want to try less gluten ..... For lunch, i am going to make oat pancakes....with greek yogurt and fruit. Wish me luck haha I am working hard, focusing hard. Me, Rox and our friend Sophie have decided to start an art club haha A few hours once a week to paint / draw / knit.... whatever we want. Going at around 6pm tonight exciting. Just doing this for the love of art, so no pressure. I am going to put a record on now and do some research xx 6 Quote Link to comment

My foot has been playing up a lot, and i couldnt drive too painful. No clue what the issue is Will probably begin next week now. Had an ok few days. Long chat with an art friend about a potential new venture for me. Began this a few days ago - https://www.instagram.com/getaspark_/ SPARK is a new program of support for ambitious, exciting neurodivergent artists, disabled artists and artist with mental health conditions. Found a way to support artists who need more help with applying for funding, and they wont need to be the one who pays me. The grant body will pay me up to £900 per person i support. It is an access support worker. (title) So i am doing promo and advertising to get clients. I set up a Calendly page, so people can book in a day and time for a 30 min free chat with me. And if they go ahead then that means I am guarenteed payment once the grant is submitted. Its been up 5 days, and i have 4 bookings Apart from that, been trying to research whats wrong with my foot And doing chores in the house (put living room blind up yesterday) almost through the mountain of washing now etc. Another long day today. xx 5 1 Quote Link to comment

We use it more to enjoy our bouncing off ideas (most of us are writers, game designers or film people), and to hold our selves accountable for the personal projects we want to do. 1 Quote “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy” -Nightbirde “Dreams do not come true all by themselves. Salinger
Hey all. I feel really churned up this morning Anxious, so anxious. I am on the verge of tears tbh. My heart is beating hard and my head hurts x 2 Quote Link to comment
Sepherina
I am sorry Sal. Sending a big hug and love this morning. I hope you can find some peace. Maybe a quick walk with Bronze…or even just pets and some play time? Salinger
Hey all. I am so stressed out. Ex landlord is being an absolute WANKER. trying to get 2.5k off us now. WTF. i want to put all his windows in. I hate him. I am trying to not let it affect me too much but my head is banging. I have 4 meetings this afternoon plus some essay work to do for someone. I am desperate for alcohol or drugs to numb things. But i am 10 months sober today, so i guess i should stick at it. x 3 Quote Link to comment
Rookie
Hey I love that you found some ways to bring in some extra cash AND I love that its by sharing knowledge you already have to help people. I am definitely team stay sober You are strong, you are beautiful and you are amazing. I hope your head feels better, its so hard to get things done when you feel poorly. Can you try a bit of caffeine or aspirin? Also your ex landlord is a piece of work. Can you just block him and move on with your day? I highly doubt you did any damage to the place to warrant him getting an additional 2.5k.... He sounds like a bully and perhaps this worked in the past so people wouldn't need to deal with him. As for your question about if you should do a trade or not (if you need money in the future).. Perhaps you could get into something like welding which you could use in your art. I am not sure how it is there but I have heard theres always welding jobs available here and its one of the easier trades to get into. That is all hearsay but might be worth it to look into. My friends mom does beautiful metal art so that is why I am thinking maybe its a skill that you can use for your art but also find jobs when you need a boost in income? 1 Quote {Chase the wind and touch the sky; I will fly} Link to comment

Salinger
Hey all. Been a real whirlwind challenge. Saturday night we had 10 people over somehow all in the living room. Drinking / music / horror films. 2am and people still going, i drank alcohol free beer until 1.30am - then moved onto tea HAHA Funny and strange to be sober, with a cup of tea, whilst everyone else is doing tequila shots!!!! 😯 Everton won on Sunday for the first time in forever. And we hung out with our friend all afternoon/evening. Took Bronze who had a blast with their dog. I went to the docs, they think i have tendonitis. So need to get ibuprofen gel. me and Roxy are going to try to eat less meat. I have got some veggie chicken to try tonight. I hope i like it. Its the main thing i never liked (i prefer veggie mince and i like veggie sausages etc but never found chicken that i like) It is a new one so fngers crossed. Love you all xx 4 Quote Link to comment
Artemis Prime
Sticking with AF options when everyone else is drinking is rock star level sobriety, Sal! Rookie
I'm picturing you sipping at your tea while everyone's doing shots and that's classy as heck. Rock on! You do you! Oh I saw a cool insta reel I wanted to try for meatless donair/gyro using brown lentils. It seemed easy enough. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3dFd_BuCzq/?igsh=cm5neGdlNGs3ZWgw Apparently you can do the same with red lentils for a tofu without soy. 1 Quote {Chase the wind and touch the sky; I will fly} Link to comment

Salinger
Hello, morning. How is everyone? Life still feels full on and stuff. I will do a brief update. - The gel helps a little on my foot. It also helps my tight calfs which is good! - I have had quite a few zoom chats with people who are enquiring about applying for funding. One person has submitted the request for me to be their access support. So in a week we will find out if it was accepted. Another person is currently writing it out to send over the weekend. I have 3 more meetings today with potential clients. (i get £900 per person so fingers crossed) - I am working hard...on this SPARK stuff, but also on an exhibition that is due to open next month, a small 2 week pop up really, to show some work with the guy im collaborating with. We find out next week if our funding bid was successful or not... fingers crossed - I found out yesterday - i got an interview for that perfect job from 55 applications, i got to the last 8 !! Interview is over zoom on May 1st. AAGHHHHH if i pass this, then it will be an in person meeting at the gallery. I am anxious but trying to focus. - The house is coming together, feeling settled here. It warms up quickly which is so amazing haha - Not walked Bronze much this week due to my foot issues, but she has been out with her friends. Today she has an extra walk booked to help me out. And will be going on a normal walk. 6 dogs, all off lead, walk. (not in the secure field like usual) eeeek - EVERTON BEAT OUR RIVALS AND IT WAS AMAAAAAAZING. First time since 2010 hahahah so bloody great. I cried. - STILL SOBER. 311 days currently. - Things feel ok today - tired but ok. How is everyone? Aiming to be back on track and more present here from next challenge ❤️ xx 4 Quote Link to comment
