DrFeelgood
04/09: 211.9 (+0.5) Well that was unexpected! After several days off the plan and basically eating whatever I wanted all weekend I thought for sure there would be a bigger jump in the scale--in fact when I hopped on this morning I was bracing to see something near 215. I'll take it! Still above start weight for this PVP though, so I need to get back on the horse and make some headway if I'm going to get anywhere near my goal of breaking 200. 5 Quote He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Elennare
I weighed myself yesterday, but wasn't able to post because yesterday was super busy. I had a whole bunch of people over for the eclipse. That was awesome, in the original sense of the word. I am so glad I finally got to see one. Seriously y'all, if you have the chance to see a total solar eclipse, do it! It is worth it. I had a lovely spring break, though I did not get myself set up for healthy eating like I wanted to. I had a couple more treats than normal, but nothing crazy. Which is why I am beyond flabbergasted with yesterday's weigh in. I have no idea what happened, and pretty much all I can do is hope it's a weird fluke and will un-happen just as fast (though my experience of a long time trying to lose weight tells me it won't). 3/25: 172.5 4/1: 172.4 4/8: 176 Up almost 4 pounds, and the heaviest I've been all year by 2 pounds. 5 1 Quote Wood Elf Waywatcher Mandalorian (Assassin/Ranger hybrid) Link to comment

I know the feeling of those big gains that don't make any sense but seem like they're going to hang around. Darciana
Nothing much to report. I had a small peak at the scale and it's ugly but I'm also bloated and feeling not-so-great. Was on call with the Fire Department for the Eclipse so went 72 hours with only a handful of naps/restless&interrupted sleeps and not ideal food at the station (cookies and muffins and everything had cheese in it). Yesterday I was still so exhausted I could barely function at work. Today I'm a bit better, but can still feel the impact of the sleep debt. No workout this morning. Tried to wake up but felt I'd do myself more harm and possibly injury by trying to lift and went right back to sleep. Meals are all wonky since we couldn't meal prep due to being on call. The goal is to stay just enough on track for the rest of this week I can drop off the bloat and water retention and get back down closer to a "real" weight (read: not falsely inflated by bloat and water retention) by next week's weigh in. 4 Quote You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before. TimovieMan
15/03: 94.65 kg / 208.7 lbs 22/03: 94.15 kg / 207.6 lbs 29/03: 94.20 kg / 207.7 lbs 12/04: 95.10 kg / 209.7 lbs (+0.9 / +2.0) This is leftover damage from my vacation week. There were basically 10 days of not counting calories, overeating and little to no exercise, and only 4 days of "getting back to normal". The number is going to be lower again next week. I shudder to think what the number would have been on Monday morning, though, with all the bloat and overeaty nonsense still in my system... ? 6 Quote TimovieMan: funnier than you think he is; not as funny as he thinks he is... DrFeelgood
04/14: 211.2 (-0.7) Not bad for a middling week that started late and ended with a nasty illness--I spent all of Friday and Saturday lying on the sofa and watching golf when I wasn't napping. I did get a couple of workouts done and I mostly stayed on track with my calories once I got home from Texas, but even then I had 3 yellow days against only 2 greens. Better than the scale, I think, is that I can feel things tightening up and getting stronger with my return to proper exercise, and I'm getting more compliments again from friends who want to know what I'm doing to lose the weight. The week ahead should give me a good chance to beat my 2024 low and maybe even break all the way through the 210s to see a 209-point-something as long as I can stay disciplined. 7 Quote He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Darciana
150.2 2.5lb up from 2 weeks ago (didn't check last week) and 0.7lb up from the start of this round. That's okay, there's be a lot going on. Last week was a mess of trying to recover from 72 hours with very minimal sleep, horrible eating, and no workouts. I finally started feeling better on Friday when I did some Peloton strength workouts. The weekend resulted in eating out both Saturday and Sunday, Saturday including cheese (hello bloat!). Yesterday I was short on water but managed at least 60oz so not as bad as it could've been. Today we resumed our lifting plan and I'm feeling much better about getting back into it. The Man meal prepped yesterday so I could use the leftover chicken for my crockpot lunch prep today. My dinners are not paleo but I chose balanced meals that included small pasta sides or rice since we have a surplus in need of being used up. They're individual single-serve meals so I can reduce waste but avoid boredom. I'm feeling good about my progress going forward and I know these 2-ish pounds will drop off in the next day or two as my body works through the lactose-induced inflammation and the water weight from slight dehydration. 8 Quote You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before. Lowest weigh in for the week was Saturday but couldn't maintain over the weekend. I'm not displeased with the week but I wish the gain over the weekend just made more sense. I am a bit more lenient with the quality (fried empanadas, PB and Doritos sandwich) but I was well under calorie goal all weekend and active. Oh, and there was a mini Blizzard. But still, well under calories. I'm not giving up Blizzards so there's that. Looking forward to see what this week brings. There's a food day at work and DDG and I have a dinner out planned - on the same day as the food day. Then a concert on Saturday that will likely end up with a dinner out. As long as I can lock in the other 5 days and keep those two days reasonable I should be fine. ? Yikes, I also have a catered breakfast tomorrow with a vendor in town at work. I would normally skip breakfast and am debating not eating but it feels like it will be awkward if everyone else is eating. And breakfast foods are my favorite. 7 Quote Race: Amazonian Ogre Princess | Class: Ranger | Profession: SuperHero | Affiliation: Doodlie and Pancake for Life Respawn Challenge Arcs: 2021 | 2022 I am not saying I am Wonder Woman. I'm not quite on track for my goal right now, but 2.7lbs down from the start of this challenge isn't bad at all. There was, to be fair, a great deal of guessing on Saturday. Had my meal in the dark, which was an amazing 3-course meal including a great swordfish starter. It was a really cool experience, and though I've done it before I was still amazed at how relaxed I felt being temporarily blind. Add to the mystery meal the beer before the restaurant, the cocktail before the meal, two glasses of wine with the meal, a beer on the way home, and then deciding to have cheese and biscuits for dinner, it was certainly a high-calorie day with a lot of margin for error on the guesswork element. 5 Quote Level 21 Wood Elf Ranger STR: 18 - CON: 22 - CHA: 11 - SAN: 19 - INT: 17 IAgreeWithTank™ "Shit is going down, but I am not." - iatetheyeti Don't say "I don't have enough time", say instead "that's not a priority right now" and see how that makes you feel. Average for last week was 161.6, and on Saturday I hit a low of 160.9, so today feels like a bit of an anomaly. I expect we'll see a bigger drop this week, so I'm not too worried. In non-scale news, I've got a pair of shorts that, when I bought them, were far too tight and I got WW to move the buttons so I could do them up. Yesterday I had to move the buttons again, this time to tighten them back up, and I've taken them in about 2" from where they were.
