Sloth the Enduring
Let's try to catch this up. 4/21/17 Friday - Friday I was tired. I overslept. After work I took a nap; teaching isn't demanding either physically or mentally, but it is exhausting Somehow. After the nap I took the foster dogs to the vet, came home and went to bed. No training. 4/22/17 Saturday - I got a ride in. 29 miles in almost exactly 2 hours. The good news is I can ride for 2 hours without any trouble or discomfort, the bad news is I'm too slow. I think I did DDP Yoga too, but I didn't write it down so maybe not. 4/23/17 Sunday - we held Slothgirl's birthday party. It was at Michael's (a craft store). The staff ran a bunch of crafts with the girls while they talked about Harry Potter. Apparently Slothgirl runs with the nerdy girls who read too much. Mrs. Sloth did all of the at-home prep work. I could have worked out, but for political reasons I thought it better to stay home and pretend I was trying to help. 4/24/17 Monday - more oversleeping. More errands. No training except for DDP Yoga. On all of these days I ate sweets. Spending has been reasonable. 12 Quote “We might as well start where we are, use what we have and do what we can." – Caitlin Rivers Sloth: The Man with the Hammer battle log Link to comment

Sloth the Enduring
4/28/17 Friday It's a good day. It's been a while since I thought that. Half of the sixth grade team is at a training today. I put away the fragile microscopes and glass slides and gave my classes an easyish notebook assignment in case I had to spend the day as the enforcer, but it's been very chill; I'm playing a mellow pop, playlist for my classes. We're starting next week with Amoeba Monday - I'm very excited. Today is Slothgirl's official birthday, but we're not doing anything today because of the circus show. BTW the kids are super-proud of themselves about their performances. I woke up on time. I did DDP Yoga (same as yesterday). Mrs. Sloth is doing the circus running today which will give me KB time later. Eating is still decent except for a daily sweet. Some good news, I found my tape measure. My belly is 35.5" (90 cm), at Christmas it was 37.5" (95 cm). If I would actually work out once in a while I might get myself beach worthy. Spending is ooching back up. I think I need accountability still. I bought new pedals for my mountain bike, my old ones are seized and I can't get them apart to rebuild. I bought nicer than I need. I also registered for the Red Ribbon Ride and ordered preworkout. 13 Quote “We might as well start where we are, use what we have and do what we can." – Caitlin Rivers Sloth: The Man with the Hammer battle log Link to comment

Sloth the Enduring
4/29/17 Saturday It's a good day. Yesterday I did indeed get my KBs in, but everything felt heavy so I only did 3/3 Get-ups at 12 kg and 6X10/10 swings at 20 kg. Today Mrs. Sloth brought the kids to dance class and the circus matinee. I got to sleep in and work out. Then the STEM competition. It was a fuster cluck. I had a conformation number, but transportation didn't know that they needed to send a bus to my school. Transportation doesn't take phone calls from teachers, you need to be a couple levels higher up the food chain. We waited an hour. Then they brought us to the wrong school and there was no bus back. My boys all won their first round, I think four won the second. We didn't make it to the final round, but the girl's team from my school came in second and third. Had I known we would get so close we would have pulled out all stops like polishing the axles. The kids did a great job, worked well together all day, had fun, and felt successful, proud, and accomplished. I'm really glad they had that experience. Next up is early bird dinner at Famous Dave's (BBQ) and another circus show. This one the whole family will watch. Training: DDP Yoga & StrongFirst's Strength Aerobics. Which is sIngles of KB clean, press, and squat, shake it off, and repeat. I only got 10 rounds in at 16 kg. Eating: I ate a breakfast for doughnut. Spending: bought doughnut & BBQ. 10 Quote “We might as well start where we are, use what we have and do what we can." – Caitlin Rivers Sloth: The Man with the Hammer battle log Link to comment
