Finally finally FINALLY got around to fixing the deck chairs! Nothing like having company to light a fire under my butt!

Thanks! It's an old fire pit we don't use since we have a camp sight now, I used to have a pane of glass over the opening until I dropped an armful of hatchets through it...  Had to make a sturdier one lol <.<

Had time between bigger projects in the shop, so I used up some of my (ample supply of) scrap to make a planter for the house.  Its my take on a midcentury modern design that was used in a couple houses in the case study program, that is replicated nowadays by Room and Board (and a few others as well, West Elm has their own take)

 

I changed the bottom a bit so there is a hole in the center (for drainage), and curved the legs to better compliment the pot.  I made it by laminating walnut around a maple core, then carving it.
