Aetheriata
The Studio where I go to my Fitness Kickboxing class also has a few weight machines I can use. Like, really old stuff, but it does the trick. Among the the usual things they also have a lifting bar (is that the name? Not sure). Anyway, I never used one of those. But today I did! Only 10 Kilo and only three rounds of 15 repetitions on every machine and the bar but you know what? That's way more than I've done in YEARS. I got in 45 minutes of weight training and will surely feel it tomorrow. But it I did it. I took my gym clothes with me to work and I went to the studio, even though I was tired and hungry. Now I'm still tired and hungry but I feel amazing. Here's to doing it again next Thursday. Maybe I'll do 16 repetitions then 6 Quote Link to comment

But today I did! Awesome!! That was me 6 weeks ago. I'm loving the strength program and learning more and more every day. Are you talking about the barbell? What kind of work did you do with it? Lex Lutheran
strength training has a knack of doing that, leaving you feeling soar, but amazing, hell yeah, I just did that. I fell in love with it in college and I always keep coming back to it. Keep up the awesome work! Quote Lex Lutheran Level 8 Warrior : Epic Quest 1 Where I Began The Journey So Far Link to comment
Aetheriata
Thank you both! @~RedStone~ no, not the barbell exactly... I don't know what it's called; it's also a machine. You lie on your back and push the weights up and down like a barbell, but it's still supported by wires. I am still way too scared to use the one without the wires XD Quote Link to comment

IDK it's the machines that intimidate me! Congratulations on lifting! Don't be afraid of the barbell... it's a friend, you just need help to be introduced properly. 1 Quote Link to comment
topherdrew
Great stuff! I hope to get to barbells eventually.... chose to start with dumbbells for my initial foray into "that side" of my gym. Keep it up, you're doing great!
