It's an universal truth. Does this work for the opposite side? Am I a Disney Villain™ now? This little dude/dudette just randomly stopped and rested on my hand for a minute while hauling it's size maggot somewhere. It was nice. It didn't sting me. I like and respect wasps and hornets.
